The Obama campaign is on a conference call with reporters bright and early this morning, trying to shoot down reports that there is, shall we say, tension between the Obama and Clinton camps as the Democratic convention begins. “Sen. Clinton and her campaign have been wonderful partners in working on this convention with us,” Obama adviser Anita Dunn said a few minutes ago. “There may be people on the periphery of both operations who believe that, for whatever reason, this is a storyline they want to promote, but this is not the case with the people who actually matter, which is Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama.”
As I was saying – would you allow the Clintons within a heartbeat of the Presidency if it was your heartbeat standing in their way?

I suspect the name ‘Vince Foster’ was a mitigating factor in Obama choosing Joe Biden rather than Hillary for VP.
This convention has just started. I have always predicted that Hillary is going to pull a fast one
with the help of her disgusting spouse. Recent reports have indicated that some of the super delegates that originally threw their support behind the Dalai Bama are now reconsidering their decision. Remember, she is still on the ballot and it ain’t over ’til it’s over.
maybe if they open up the convention with a southern BBQ of ribs and chicken instead of that Kenyan folkdance troop it will ease the fears.
even Bill will tuck into a messa southe’n bbq.
You can only appease specific interest groups for so long until their aspirations start to conflict. I believe we are seeing the unraveling of the progressive left before our eyes.”c”onservatives now must only stick to the game plan and matriculate the ball down the field, no turn-over’s and tough ‘D’ ; )
The Democrats NEED to cut their losses now and nominate Billery. They can rebound from losing the undependable black vote, but if they lose middle class women they may not bounce back, especially if the GOP runs a woman in 2012.
While it would be terrific if they did indeed vote for the old guy, they won’t. They’re merely rattling their little sabres to see what they can leverage downstream.
I think for once the Obamessiah has shown a perhaps a fleeting spark of intelligence. If I was him, there’s no way Clinton would be my VP – yikes! Obamaton has a hard enough time under normal conditions trying to make a decision; with Hilary as VP how would he be able to concentrate – he’d be in a constant state of panic. Though, it just might cost him the election. We can only hope, of course.
how can anyone who supports the clintons vote for mccain when he said that chelsea is ugly because janet reno is her father?
A plague on both their parties. Someone should inform the Americans that a “two-party system” is not the same thing as a democracy. They have other ballot options than the parties that are dragging the country down.
27 percent of not enough to win is still…
