Embedding with the Peshmerga is different than going with the other Coalition forces. For one thing, there is the absolute absence of paperwork. Former Green campaign manager says he was libelled, sues Google
Six others named in suit over blog articles
The former campaign manager of the Green Party of Canada is suing Google and six others for damages, claiming he was libelled in a series of blog articles linked to the term “Gang of Crookes.”
Wayne Crookes, who is president and sole shareholder of West Coast Title Search, says the articles, featured on the Green Compost Heap blogspot and published directly or hyperlinked to other websites, are intended to lower his reputation and expose him to “ridicule and contempt.” West Coast Title Search is also listed as a plaintiff in the suit.
The blogs relate to Crookes’ role in the Green Party of Canada, of which he was campaign manager in 2004. They also refer to other members of the GPC as “the friends of Crookes” or the “Gang of Crookes.” Google, as owner of blogspot.com, has the ability to control the content and distribution of the blogsites contained in it, said Crookes.
In a statement of claim filed in B.C. Supreme Court Monday, Crookes claims he has suffered general, special, aggravated and punitive damages.
He wants an order requiring Google to identify the blog authors, remove the libellous words from the website and to block distribution of the material….-

Friends of Science is a valiant effort, but am concerned that the Global warming “pushers” have way more money than we do . . . and may also be way more clever. This is unfortunate, but something to be aware of. I get the impression that most of us (myself until recently included) think that spreading the word will do the trick. Not so — the AGW promoters are very aggressive in getting out their messg. You will notice, for example, that at least once each month there is a major global warming story that keeps things in the news: eg. Stern report, IPCC policy summary, IPCC prelimary, IPCC actual, and on and on. I am not sure what else, but if you watch carefully there is an ongoing strategy to capture media interest. The money for all of this seems almost limitless — with a certain percentage of it funneled into funding for documentaries, community outreach, what have you. If this were a chess game, I sense that those opposed to Kyoto are seriously losing.

I’m retired from the military, I’m receiving my pension and I’m a full time student, but guess what, if you’re still in the military and unless you’re a major, I’m probably making over three times as much money as you are right now. 1. First of all a minor doesn’t make a paleoanthropologist.
2. I’ve changed the minor since that information was written up and no longer studying “paleo”anthropology. Though paleoanthropology is a very interesting field if you can handle learning dozens of names like Sahelanthropus tchadensis, homo heidleburgensis and Orrorin tugenensis and all of the physical variations that go along with them, I found archaeology a much more fascinating area with anthropology and made the switch.
3. Does archaeology damage the environment? No more than digging foundation of a building (depending on the size of the study), but unlike a building, an archaeological dig will return the site to original condition as best as they can.
Anyway I’ll make the change to the info.
