Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
I’ll take the blame. Pedowood hasn’t produced a damn thing that didn’t reek of dead sardines macerating in a kitty litter box in decades. I hope everything they produce henceforth loses so much money the brain dead scolds, aka actors, have to get real jobs. Or do porn.
Oh, is that a movie? I immediately thought of the Monty Python suicide squad in “Life of Brian”. Hard to make a long skit out of that approach.
LOL Wut?
Thought it was satire. Nope.
He was serious.
Went to the website where I saw James Gunn opining on the same movie. What a country…one day you’re raping small children, the next, you’re rehired and asked to opine about celluloid schlock.
James Gunn never raped anyone. Why tell such obvious lies.
Disney fired him for what again?

Who the hell talks like that? But yes, “UnMe”, defend this pos as if your life depended on it. Tell the world how he was just being “edgy” with his particular brand of humour.
Now FO. Strange fkers like you creep the hell out of me .
Look, UnMe is on the record claiming that lowering age on consent in Canada for anal sex to sixteen constitutes a meaningful gain for freedom and prevents discrimination against gays. Someone so elementally fucked up cannot be reasoned with. Only spat on, insulted and ridiculed. He really is an utterly worthless, low IQ, savage.
Unme is probably not low-IQ–but he’s definitely in the enemy’s camp. In order to sell their ideas to the majority, the enemy needs people who appear and sound reasonable. Unme makes arguments based on half-truths embellished by lies–however, most folks don’t know the whole story and Unme sounds convincing and sincere enough that he could sway enough people NOT to take action against the things the enemy is trying to foist on society. The rot goes deep–why do you think there’s a junior kindergarten now which starts at 4 (versus 5 just a few years ago–and I’m old enough to remember when kindergarten was optional and kids started school in grade 1 at age 6). The push for “free” or “low cost” daycare is to get kids even younger into an institution which starts the programming process.
Usually one could dismiss it as the usual creepy unme behavior, but it’s concerning because it’s part of the leftist attempt to normalize pedophilia. And they all do their part, wherever they can.
“Tell the world how he was just being “edgy” with his particular brand of humour.”
He was. Don’t know what else to tell except that you should stop being such a snowflake.
Yeah, because in your world jokes about fisting and NAMBLA meetings is just fine.
Y’know, I gotta tell ya, I don’t know if anyone else here has connected the dots between progressives like you and pedophilia…but I sure have and for a while now.
Carry on. You’re a walking sandwich board advertisement as to why people like you shouldn’t come within 500 M of playgrounds.
Creepy troll.
Gunn’s new movie features his weird-looking younger brother playing a human-weasel hybrid. He’s apparently presented as comic relief of the “so pathetic it’s funny” variety, but the other characters apparently mention at some point that this weasel-man has killed 27 children…
I connected the dots long ago, when I learned that the father of modern critical theory, taught in universities across the planet, was a vocal advocate for pedophilia.
You’re sick
Why end a question with a period, you brain-dead no-life troll sack of shit?
Um, er, what? Was that a movie or something? Am I supposed to be concerned?
Speaking of “great power”, Kurt Schlichter just published his greatest in months, about Ron De Santis, over at Townhall.
“In 2024, it’ll be Trump again, or DeSantis, or perhaps someone else who is hard. But it won’t be a squish. This is the time of the winnowing, folks. Chaff, away with you – we want the wheat. If you aren’t all in for us, through thick and thin, despite media whining and the pearl-clutching of the softcons, you’re done. Over. End of story.”
He has his finger on the spirit of our times, that Kurt guy. He is always about 85%, but this one, is one of those “out of the park” columns.
“if you are not all in for us, you’re done”
Scott Moe, Saskatchewan Party, O’Toole, CPoC, Kenney, UCP, to the entire clerisy class worldwide; Hey, what’s that sound? Everybody look what’s going down.
Bernier, Sloan, anyone out there who actually wants to harness of this, you also must pay attention. Stop carrying what the CBC is going to say about you.
It’s the sound of the political right dying. This is indeed the end.
Right of what? “Political right” means nothing by itself. It could be right of communism, aka socialism.
“It’s the sound of rationality dying.”
FIFY.
LOL this idiot literally just writes the same column over and over again. Same whinge, same attempt to wind and blow the house down.
Doesn’t matter anyways. The Dems have the US in a lock. They have no real opposition.
Yes, isn’t it great when your supporters are the ones who get to kick out invigilators and count the votes?
The ‘invigilators’ were being disruptive morons, so they got kicked out.
The Dems didn’t cheat, which is why you have no evidence they did. In any event, they don’t need to. The Right has killed itself.
Nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah you can’t hear me. I get it. It’s incredible how you can’t see or find out that every “factual” statement you made in the last post is wrong.
Shush, child, the grown-ups are talking.
But not before we kill you and a whole metric crapload of others like you, dear.
unme – i would have thought you possessed a smidge of humility before making such a wide-ranging declaration. recent history in presidential elections (2016) says predictions are thin at best. there’s a guy out there you might want to look – a new yorker / new jersey individual who might be better than nate silver (not that difficult considering 2016;) his name is rich baris. you can find him on twitter @Peoples_Pundit. he knows he is a numbers wonk and is quite happy with that.
” i would have thought you possessed a smidge of humility before making such a wide-ranging declaration”
The data is overwhelming and clear. It happened in California and is now happening nation-wide.
“better than nate silver (not that difficult considering 2016;) ”
1) No one is better than Silver
2) Silver was on the money regarding 2016. Not surprised that you aren’t aware of what he was actually saying in 2016.
my recollection is that only michael moore and ann coulter called it.
silver called it for billary. it’s ok to admit that you are wrong… and rethink your position.
i won’t think any less of you 🙂
i’ll concede the popular vote thingy for 2016 but the electoral college is the clincher (see november 2020)
“LOL” isn’t a word. “Anyways” isn’t a word. “Attempt to wind” is a completely meaningless phrase.
You really gave yourself away as an ESL kid there, my nigga.
This blog becomes unreadable when everyone starts feeding the fucking trollyet again.
Kinda seems dark for ol’ Mittens Romney, home son of Mass..er Utah…um Michigan…er..California..
Jeb! Also.
Trying to think who the corporate, cuck Republican would be? Plenty of the soulless, plastic, limp RINO’s. They. Just Are. So. Generic.
Can they even make movies targeted at adults anymore? Like Apocalypse Now, the old spaghetti westerns, Marathon Man, Three Days of the Condor, etc? Hollywood is putting out nothing but children’s shows, and shitty ones, at that.
The Suicide Squad is good, and most of those old spaghetti westerns were terrible.
No one will make a ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ homage to Suicide Squad.
There’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ and ‘Suicide Squad’. The latter being first and terrible, the newer one being actually pretty good.
Unfair to compare to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which was a sublimely good movie. Almost difficult to completely summarize how and why it was so damn good.
Its quite predictable that you will die poorly.
Wasn’t woke, left or politically correct. Celebrated Westerns.
So of course it would escape you.
TCM had “A Fistful of Dollars”, and “For a few Dollars More” on recently, good stuff.
Too bad they didn’t have the 3rd installment of the franchise, “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” on as well.
I’ll watch any old movie long before wasting my money for anything new.
Amen to that. Anything that makes it past the woke filter is unwatchable dreck, as in, does not remotely resemble reality, truth or beauty.
I just watch a very good pair of made for TV movies on Tubi. ‘The Great Escape II: the Untold Story’ 1988 Christopher Reeve, Judd Hirsch, Donald Pleasance (who was also in the ‘The Great Escape’ 1968).
You have to watch ads, but I cancelled Netflix because Tubi has so much more better stuff. Carol Burnett Show is on there. Her show was as good as Seinfeld, decades before.
Unme, your taste in films is as horrible as everything else about you.
*winner*
UnMe, all you have done is confirm that at heart, you are still a mewling infant.
Amen to that. Very hard to find anything recent that is worth watching. If you’re into war flicks I recommend Greyhound, a surprisingly good (if overblown) story of a US destroyer escorting an Atlantic convoy with Tom Hanks as a captain.
That was a good movie.
My 16 year old wanted to see Suicide squad in the theater. So yesterday we went to the local.
First movie I’ve been in a theatre in about 2 years.
We were, LITERALY, the only two people in the theater. I mean really, the only two.
My review (spoiler alert):
-grapically violent and fun
-Margot Robie remains cute
-That SNL A-Hole Pete Davison gets shot in the face. Entirely worth the $40 I paid for son #2 and me.
-Faux Cuban ass kicking that ends in democracy.
My experience:
– Did not require me to show my vaccine papers. 4 stars.
-did not pay for the super-Irwin-Allen-laser-sensorround. Did not miss it.
– Heinicken tall boy was massively overpriced. But fck, I had a Dutch theatre beer. First time ever. (They made me open it in front of them, thanks ALCB for bizzare fraken-prohibition laws).
– Wallet hurt
– I found myself sympathizing with Charleton Heston in Omega man. I felt weird laughing that loud and not being shusshed, expected to walk out and see no other people.
Conclusion, perverts make fun movies and theatres will follow blockbuster into bankruptcy. (Unless of course they find a way to resurrect $2 Tuesday, but alas, it’s not the ’80’s).
Not a bad review, I’d add that Elba was really good and Cena is actually a pretty adroit actor too.
Agreed.
Oversaturation of the Superhero movie genre. That’s all. Hollyweird is utterly devoid of original thought. See: Too many Star Wars sequels and prequels … too fast.
Dr. Dean Edell used to say that when you hear hoofbeats, don’t think zebras. The aphorism equivalent to Occam’s razor … the most OBVIOUS answer is usually the correct answer. Anti-vaxxers killed the box office? Rubbish … try sequel fatigue.
If Anti-vaxxers did it, then they should be thanked.
Not even my kids are interested in another bucket of superhero vomit, especially from the DC universe that never produced anything worth watching.
So I guess it official now…any adverse weather condition anywhere in the world is to be blamed on “climate change” and any adverse situation in the public/economic/political world is to be blamed on “anti-vaxxers”. Well that certainly makes things easier…for progressives…
My wife is fully vaccinated. She’s still afraid to go in a movie theatre.
My mother in law is fully vaccinated. She still hasn’t offered to start doing her own grocery shopping again.
My teenage son is fully vaccinated. Half the time my wife still wants him to wear a mask outside.
What’s killing movies is fear. The unvaxxed are not the ones still promoting the fear.
Oh, f— that!
It was a bad movie directed by a creepy director and starring a simpering toady to China.
So it was Orange Man all along?!
GOSH!
Okay, let us be adult for a few moments and discuss some of the… strange decisions related to this movie.
In no real order
– The name. Suicide Squad. Didn’t I see that a few years ago? No, that was Suicide Squad, this is The Suicide Squad, so when you saw the Suicide Squad movie a few years ago that was not the The Suicide Squad… or something.
– The first movie was a confusing mess.
– James Gunn annoys a LOT of people
– Taiwan is a country
– Apart from Harley Quinn who exactly are all these characters? Quinn, in my opinion has over stayed her welcome. Robbie may or may not be nice but her character has been in Suicide Squad to the squeeeeee of teenage girls (and not many other people) and Birds of Prey (which was at best… ‘okay’) and her character has always been largely two note – “I am quirky and I am unpredictable and I am occasionally ultra violent”. Okay, three notes. However let us all be honest here, quirky and unpredictable people are (sometimes) fun to party with, but you don’t marry them. Harley Quinn’s character is disturbingly close to that ex who turned out to be nothing but trouble. So… in summary, Quinn is an acquired taste as a character.
– As for all the non Harley Quinn people? Sorry, but to make money the movie needs to appeal to ‘Normies’. I don’t regard myself as a Normie and I have little idea who most of these characters are. These characters are deep in the DC back catalogue. Face it, when you say ‘comic book character’ to Mrs and Mr Average and their list is Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman. Marvel has expanded that list a bit but Normies do not read comics enough to get excited over second tier characters and The Suicide Squad is filled with the third XI.
– No Dogwelder! (hey, if you are going to go C List you might as well go fully C List! 😀 )
– The trailer was… weird. For reasons only known to themselves the first trailer seemed to be obsessed with milking an already cringe joke, complete with sub-titles. My take away from it was ‘yeah… this isn’t actually going to be that funny.’ The bits that weren’t cringe attempts at humour seemed to be constant reminders that Robbie is part snake and can detach her jaw.
However after all that I am told by a good percentage of the online reviewers that the movie is actually good action/comedy fun… but… see the list above. My interest levels were allowed to drop too low before this happened and all I have left is a mild curiosity to see what Peter The Last Dr Who Capaldi was like in it.
I watched this opening day via HBOMax. I got Max through some weird machination involving my phone company and the plan we got upgraded to.
This approach is going to kill theaters off faster. The exception is the must watch movies on large screen such as the upcoming Dune.
Considering I haven’t been to a movie theater since 1986, can’t blame me.
