Speaking of dogs, while watching Sarah Palin’s Alaska this evening (the long awaited Kate Plus 8 ‘I’m Cold, I Wanna go Home’ episode), correct me if I’m wrong, but is Sarah’s Dad’s dog’s named ‘Bo’? Just like Barry’s? What a coincidence! Only difference is….Alaskan dogs CAN hunt!

Cats being cats. They are oblivious to the world around them because it is all about them. Cats are funny. They are affectionate on their terms. Dogs are way dumber, and sell their affection out way easier. At least in my pet owners opinion.

But they’re both kind of stupid: my dog will fetch a Frisbee for hours until he collapses in exhaustion and my housecat will pretend to stalk the cedar waxwings perched in my mountain ash, safely from back of the couch in the front room window!

I currently have two neighbour hood strays comming around. I have managed to earn their trust with daily meals. It’s as Winston Churchill was to have said…cats look down on us..dogs look up to us…pigs are our equals. I have had no pigs in the yard to make a judgement on this issue to date…but I am keeping my eyes open.
