  1. A very good article. I think, and I have no data base for my conclusion, that Bin Laden is long dead. I am assuming this, not only from Mark Steyn’s promotion of this opinion but because Bin Laden hasn’t been seen ‘live’ for many years. Those tapes and videos could readily be fake.
However, the fascist idea of making a modern day society that is actually living The Old Way of Islam, ie, as if it were in the 7th century is attractive to fundamentalists who live in a fictional utopian rather than real world. The fact that such a mode of life would have to be totalitarian and brutally enforced – and couldn’t last, because it is fictional – is lost on them.
The real problem for the West is multiculturalism, which rejects assimilation and instead, locks newcomers into isolate blocs, who are encouraged to live ‘the old way’. Such leftist toleration is actually intolerance, for it says: ‘Welcome immigrants; Just be sure to retain your old identity and don’t try to merge with Us’.
Such an insistence on isolation and preservation of The Old Way means that the immigrants have no capacity, nor are they allowed, to adapt.
Australia has it right. Everyone, whether on a short term visa or as immigrant, has to read and sign a document that declares that they will abide by Australian values – which include ‘the rule of law, parliamentary democracy, equality of men and women”…and..’the English language..is an important unifying element of Australian society’…and..’Australian citizenship involves reciprocal rights and responsibilities’.
Nothing about multiculturalism. Unlike our Charter.

  2. “Bin Laden’s main goal is to bring about regime change in the Middle East and to replace the governments in Cairo and Riyadh with Taliban-style theocracies. He believes that the way to accomplish this is to attack the “far enemy” (the United States), then watch as the supposedly impious, U.S.-backed Muslim regimes he calls the “near enemy” crumble.
This might have worked if the United States had turned out to be a paper tiger that could sustain only a few blows from al-Qaeda. ”
Iraqis can thank God that the George Bushes of this world have triumphed over the Barack Obamas, Jefffrey Simpsons and John Ibbitsons.
Go Dubya. He freed 25 million Iraqis and annihilated al Qaeda in the process. And did so in the face of vicious and uninformed opinion from people like Simpson who were paid to know better. And shame on you Jack Layton and Jean Chretien, you anti-liberation fools.

  3. Terry Gain:
I don’t know. A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It’s a proof. A proof is a proof, and when you have a good proof, it’s because it’s proven.

  4. You’re right Jean. Da proof is da proof and you know nothing except how to curry favour with the know nothing liberal establishment, which explains why you, as one of 16 children, are pro abortion.

  5. The increase of Islamic influence in the West is the greatest threat to Western Civilization in its 2000 year history. The life (or death) of Western Civilization is in our hands. Its time to take off the gloves.
(a)Kick ass in the semi autonomous regions of Pakistan (no more safe haven).
(b)Throw all anti Western scum out of the West.
(c)Destroy any nuclear/WMD projects in the Islamic world (this bunch isn’t constrained by MAD – they embrace it)
    (d) End all dependence on Arab oil.

  6. Bin-man said that 90% of the fight is in the news media , he must understand lieberlas well, as they are doing his biding.

  7. When ignorant peasants look around themselves and see how poor their lives are while looking just a little further brings the comparative wealth and luxury of the modern world into sight there is a cognitive disconnect.
The Imams and mullahs hope to keep the masses under control for as long as possible with their claims of moral superiority and their promises of a return to imaginary glories of the past.
Pressing reality into the faces of these social backwaters is the only way to truncate the process from belligerent to introspective …. pain and repetition.

    Well said in a nutshell.
There should be no more pandering to these countries or people. Especially the one’s living in our western societies who have nothing but contempt and the full intent to destabilize our way of life. It’s not only the obvious physical terrorists, but also their financial and moral supporters living amongst us that need to be banished from our lands.
We need to start mass deportations from the west along with stringent border controls if we wish to survive the next 100 years as successful societies.
It’s a pipe dream to be sure but all western nations need to get together on this, possibly develop a food/ merchandise for oil program for all these oil rich countries. They can’t produce anything themselves and they can’t drink the oil, so it should be a simple matter to reclaim our well-earned status as world innovators and leaders.
