I watched the most recent trailer for “The Odyssey”, and the Spiderman kid (Holland) is talking to the Vampire guy (Pattison) and he says something like “My dad will return.” And, Pattison says some “daddy” joke. I hope that isn’t indicative of how they dumbed down and modernized the dialogue. The word “Dad” doesn’t fit Homer. “Father” fits Homer, but it disallows the snarkey “Daddy” response of Pattison. Just ignore the fact that it was 6,200 years later that the word “dad” was invented and used.
This will hopefully be the end of Nolan. Good riddance.

I agree with all of the comments posted above plus I have one more to add. I DO know of 2 trans sexuals (shades of Rocky Horror Picture Show). My brother from another mother who is gay and 6′-3″ tall (and very “manly”), has a cousin who transitioned from male to female (all on his own dime) about 20 years ago. My “brother” thinks he is going to commit suicide one day because the cousin is still so very unhappy with his life. The other is a friend’s daughter who transitioned into being a man (she will always be “XX”). This person has had anger management issues since the age of 2 (she is now 24).
As to Elliott Page (formerly known as Ellen Page), here career lasted only for 2 movies about 15 years ago (Juno and Inception being the 2 big ones). She became lesbian and is now trans-gendered, still trying to resurrect her career. It is over.
