I use AI (Grok) as a Wikipedia that you can ask almost anything. You have to be skeptical of the answers. It’s always highly informed, but sometimes it makes mistakes, and sometimes it’s just weird.
I have yet to use Chat-whatever. Or Facebook. Or IG. Or TikTok. I was on Twitter for a couple years before the FBI disappeared my tweets asking about their many failures (Tsarnaev brothers, that gymnast doctor) and then the troons at Twitter nuked my account entirely because I had the audacity to criticize NPR. I do have Grok though and it seems pretty cool.
I can’t imagine a more senseless use of my time than to be asking Dave, “What is the square root of 9?”, “Why is the sky blue?” and “What’s the flavour profile of Mosaic hops?”, then wondering if the response is correct because of the inherent bias built into LLM’s and having to go confirm the answer elsewhere anyways.
Thanks, but no thanks. I’ll continue to go to the latter first.
