  1. Do they even have any clue why it was named Savage Harbour? Maybe it was not particularly hospitable. Apparently it upsets the savages. If you want to know what a racist place name is try N-Word John Ridge in Alberta named for John Ware. There was even an N-Word John 4H club. They even renamed Chinaman’s Peak in Alberta despite the word Chinaman being absurdly descriptive.

They tried that same schtick in London Ontario some years ago, apparently there’s a road named “Plantation rd.” and a 12 year old, who I’m sure had some coaching and prodding from her mother or her teacher (pick one), went on a personal jihad to have it changed and along with it her 15 minutes.
    People with an actual education made the decision to keep it and as far as I know it’s still that way.

    Ground zero for all this nonsense was in 1999 when a mayor’s aide used the word “niggardly” to describe his boss.

  3. Canada hasn’t been a serious country since Turd senior and the boomers came to power. The entitled, mollycoddled generation has ruined everything they touch with their greed, childishness and complete inability to see past their own surgically corrected noses. The great thing is they are too old and feeble to run when this shithole implodes and so will suffer the fate they created.

    1. Many older boomers are trying to run out the clock. Many have but some will be around to see the collapse.
      Keep in mind the boomers were goaded onto this path by subtly evil men from the previous two generations. Despite this, not all boomers hold the sense of entitlement that you accuse them of.

        what l gleaned from the times was for instance seeing george dubya’s iraq war 2.0 for what it was ‘covid style’, ie we found out it to be based on mounds and mounds of lies.

  7. The indigenous people of Canada were indeed savages when the Europeans first arrived here. You need only read one of the several historical accounts available to figure that out (the natives were pissed that they had to stop taking slaves and torturing their captives to death).

  10. Up until recently Justin Bieber’s (former?) home near me was in the same neighborhood as Swastika Trail. Never mind it was called that before 1930. I’m surprised it lasted until this century.
