Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Copied Bud LIte. Tried to appeal to a niche demographic that spurns private automobiles instead of beer.
And sales plummeted.
I’m shocked and mystified.
Copied Tranny Fluid.
FTFY…
I would have loved to sit in on the meetings where marketing convinced management that this was a good idea. What rationalizations did they present?
Me too. I have a feeling that we both would have been asked to leave after a couple hand hidden snorts and laughs.
Incidentally, Accenture Song (the advertising agency) was shown the door.
I wonder if there were any dissenters among the high-level managers, and what happened to them. Were these terfs turfed for being unable to move with the times?
Faster, please.
Also, given the Pali flags at #TorontoPride this year the whole Woke thing seems to be over. They’ve switched to jihad, I guess it gives more scope to the fruitbats.
Huh? No one wanted to buy a Queer car? Imagine that? Yeah … sorry LGBTQueers, but we’ve had quite enough. Take your act and shove it.
Who do they think they are? Subaru?
Remind me.
What were they selling?
Not only “what”, but to “whom”. The parasitical hipster doofus demographic doesn’t traditionally spend their exposable cash on status symbol vehicles of questionable quality. In fact, they don’t spend their money on anything because they have none. They lobby for everyone else to pay for them.
Next up…the under 15 demographic. Sure, they aren’t allowed to drive yet, but they’ll enjoy the pseudo-intellectual avant-garde nonsense. Just like their blue-haired, pin cushion teacher taught them.
Here is where I remind you that the 1st Grade teacher who replaced my wife after her retirement … was a freakish looking white 20-something with a gigantic nose ring hanging from her nose like a bull. Dyke. I guess that symbolizes being a bull … dyke.
The poor, poor, small school children
I have a friend who used to wear one of those nose rings. She stopped wearing it about a week after I pointed out the history. They are symbolic of control. They are, indeed, on cows/bulls. It’s a lead mechanism to get them to do what you want since the nose is very sensitive. In African cultures, it was used for a similar reason(s) with less concern for dignity and rights of the person wearing it.
I can’t do justice to the description of her expression when I told her this. Suffice it to say she was not a happy camper.
How could they NOT know that? Perhaps they believed the nose ring made THEM the schoolyard Bully …

Can Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond please buy Jaguar and make great cars again?
Jaguar. From a roar to a hith. Like Britain.
Nuts.
The marketing staff at Jaguar can’t tell a male jaguar from a female jaguar.
The current Jaguar Canada site still only has 2 models of SUV, no current cars, though they have some cars in 2023-2024 2 doors and 4 doors in 2024 only.
Which I think is strange to anyone who knows even some bits of Jaguar’s history.
Made some beauties, but I doubt they have another year to turn it around.

Note that recently, Audi, Porsche, and Mercedes have changed their plans to eliminate gas/diesel and to sell EV only, Ferrari and Lambo both said they’ll continue to build petrol vehicles as long as it makes sense economically. Letting the market decide, what a concept! The consumers made that choice for the Germans and I think consumers will make the choice for our garbage federal gov’t as well. They’ll be 1000’s upon 1000’s of unsold EV on the lots, it’ll look like 2008-09 all over again if they stick to their guns.
As for Land Rover, never, EVER, buy a Land Rover which doesn’t have a bumper to bumper warranty which covers everything, without a deductible.
Dealer doesn’t give a warranty? Walk away.
Never buy British automotive products period.
There is a guy who drove a convertible Jag (right up until November, yes, with the top down) in my neighborhood. Green one with a big frikkin decal on the side to make sure you know it’s a Jag. Haven’t seen him this year.
They should rebrand to “Cougar”. Have some mid 30s to 40s Hooters scholarship recipients in tight jeans and spaghetti strap halter tops wearing over the car looking alluringly back/sideways at the camera with a tagline like “you thinking about taking me for a test drive?” or “come and experience the spacious back seats” or some other drivel to get midlife crisis men to think “i want one of those” and hopefully settle for the overpriced car.
Don’t include the panther musk air freshener though, that would be going too far.
Back in the 60s, Jaguars were the ultimate sexy car and I remember walking by the dealerships near the University of Toronto and admiring the sleek lines of the XKE.
However, later I worked in a number of mechanical shops and learned that anything British at that time was outlandishly difficult to service. Word was that you had to take off the dashboard to change a fuse on a jag.
Just the same I feel sad to see this historic brand commit suicide.
So I asked my alterbrain for an opinion. Seems pretty accurate.
