  1. From the Calgary Police Service:
“At approx. 11:49 p.m., on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, a collision occurred in the southbound lanes of Stoney Trail N.W., near the bridge deck of Nose Hill Drive N.W. A white 2019 Toyota Corolla, driven by a woman in her 50s, was struck by an unknown vehicle, believed to be a semi-truck & trailer combination, which fled the scene. A roadway maintenance truck with 2 occupants arrived shortly after & began providing medical aid to the woman.

Moments later, a black 2018 RAM truck, driven by a 21-year-old man with a passenger, collided with a post & cable barrier, ultimately striking the woman & then hitting the rear of the maintenance truck. The woman was transported to hospital but was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

Following an investigation by our Traffic Unit, with assistance from other areas within the CPS & from the public, a semi-truck was located yesterday in Rocky View County & was identified as being the vehicle that left the scene of the collision.

As a result, the driver of the semi-truck, Gaganpreet SINGH, 25, has been charged with hit-&-run & hit-&-run causing death.

SINGH is scheduled to next appear in court on Friday, April 4, 2025.”

      1. The first reports of this incident stated the woman was ejected from the vehicle. That seems to have been deleted from subsequent reports. How do you get ejected if you are wearing your seatbelt.

      2. It seems they cannot discern the difference between a Fiat and a large transport tractor/trailer. Weaving between lanes and running red lights, stop signs and yield signs are attributes.

    1. L – Who issues licences, 1A, and is there a pattern, of what portrayed here would be one of many data points; ones that might lead to an investigation, and a finding of institutional culpability leading to injury and/or deaths? Who will answer? Who will ask?

      1. Remember Sunrise Driving School? Class 1 licences and health certificates were sold. There was no training, examining or testing. Just pay the prices from the menu.

Funny thing, Dipper Brian Mason only put licence classes 5 and 6 back to government testing for his union buddies. Testing for commercial classes 1, 2, 3 and 4 was and is still left to private firms.

    1. As much as I wish it to be true, this sounds a lot like wishful thinking.
The most optimistic poll results I’ve seen to date is 40% in favor of Alberta independence. That drops to 15% if the question is if Alberta would want to join the republic. (consider me among that 15%)

It’s going to take a while to swing the rest of the Albertan pop to majority territory, but a liberal win in the upcoming election would almost certainly accelerate the process.

      1. One could hope that the American hating leftists, who largely reside in the larger urban areas, would move from Alberta, to the lower mainland in B.C., or to Toronto.

      2. To the contrary. Historically 15-20% is generally enough to win a referendum. The rest are there, they just don’t know it yet.
The biggest problem is getting a unified team to lead.

    1. The Orange Stain has brought the US to its financial knees. Dow Jones down about 6,000 in Trump’s 100 or so days. Quite the accomplishment.

    1. “Government jobs” are not economic jobs. Hiring workers for government is not job creation and including the government “job” numbers skews the actual job market.

  2. Pollievre had huge rallies in Kingston and Oshawa.
You can see them on you tube.
A quick google and duck duck search reveals absolutely no coverage of these rallies on MSM.

  3. You can hate Trump or not – but WTI is presently $61.81 – so he is fulfilling his promise to lower gas prices and this has many implications.

    1. Are you sure crude isn’t going down because of the recession we are entering? When everyone is sitting at home without money, they don’t need gas.

      1. You’re predicting a recession that hasn’t even happened based only on sluggish US GDP growth in one quarter.

  4. ah here it is readers tips.

from the link “Ronald Smith, 40, sat with his legs crossed outside the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Cemetery on Highway 46 – his right hand held his cell phone, and his left was in the air when deputies zeroed in on him with guns drawn.”

uhuh, AND THEY SHOT HIM ANYWAY
have you ‘clued’ (pun intended) in yet? cops are the most DANGEROUS large organization in the free world now. worse than that M13 thing, worse than the sex traffickers, mafiosa, muzzies, because they think and most times are correct THEY WILL GET AWAY WITH WHAT THEY DO

Pretty sure there are thousands more examples of simple treatments withheld to extract profit.

Imagine having gotten one of these as your ‘only chance’ and then learning that your heart could have been healed with stem cells made from your own blood?
