    “Conservative media has tried to portray it as a false, “symbolic” hunger strike, claiming that the fasters are actually just eating when they get hungry. This distortion comes from the fact that they have standby fasters available in case the participating fasters experience a medical emergency.
    The fast is real and nearing its hundredth hour for the original eight fasters, all of whom are still going without food.
    “There are no breaks, and we don’t eat when we’re hungry,” Decker said. “We’re going to keep going until the administration comes to continue, or we can’t continue for medical reasons.”
    So, not quite the Bobby Sands diet?
    Having a barbecue within distance of the hunger strikers is fair play. As in Israel as well.

  3. Yes Marc – Bobby Sands is indeed the gold standard. It’s not a hunger strike in my book unless you’re smearing S**T on your cells wall. lol

  8. Surprising that no assault charges were laid, anything that disagrees with Liberal “Progressive” snowflakes is call for a SWAT Team on their assailants.

  9. They want more ‘stuff’, so after many many years of college education they have decided on a strategy of not eating until they get what they want.
    If you are a grad student and the only negotiating tactic you can come up with is to hold your breath until you turn blue, you don’t deserve the money you already are getting.
    Perhaps the lesson here is that you wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars on something that cannot be called an education.
    Perhaps the reason you can’t get more ‘stuff’ is because you are a pack of useless twits.

  10. How long before the republicans are forced to go for sensitivity training. That class could be a hoot if all of the ‘assailants’ had to attend together. Damn, wish I was there.

  11. My middle son once threatened to hold his breath until he got the toy he wanted … he was about 6-years old … he never received the toy. And yes, he is just fine. All he got was a little practice for the upcoming swim meet.

  14. There should be a BMI standard for ANYONE daring to become a Nudist. And might I suggest that few, if any, of the (satiated) hunger-strike protestors would meet the minimum BMI Nudist standard. They would need to “streak” the Univ. … fully clothed.
