  1. The national disgrace.
    It’s a known fact that Colorado’s Secretary of State, Gruesome Griswold, who persecuted Tina Peters for her attempt to comply with state election laws, permits out-of-country people who have never lived in Colorado to vote in the state’s elections.

  2. A government executive – whatever the fck that means – gets to retire rather than face criminal charges?
    That, girls and boys, is yet another reason Canadians can’t – correction, won’t have nice things.

    “Nolite te bastardes carborundorum”

    And Happy Friday!

    1. Fraud cannot exist long in the Private Sector, which is largely self-correcting.
      Only in so-called government is Fraud rewarded.

      This is why marxists hate Market Capitalism;
      it’s competition, and provides no elbow room to cheat without consequence.

      The newest (all wealthy) pinkos in NYC claim to hate $billionaires,
      but save their highest regards for “government” $billionaires who stole their way to the top.

  3. The Politics of Pretense is excellent.

    “Prime Minister Carney’s petulance towards Americans and deference towards a borrowed globalist agenda may horrify Canadians once they catch up to the reality of its economic consequences.”

    “May”. That’s a good word. It is always accompanied by a “may not”. And I’m betting that although a majority of Canadians will indeed be quite distressed, they lack the honesty and/or analytical ability to accept the blame for creating the shithole.

    1. My own favorite part:

      “Never mind that the reality of the Canadian military— that Canadians are loath to admit to—is that our actual protection from adversaries—notably China and Russia—is, has been, and will always be primarily due to our proximity to, and our relationship with, the United States. It is an old world inconvenient truth our new world betters choose to ignore. Acknowledgement of our military reality is not weakness; pretending our weakness is strength, is hubris.”

      Denial seems to be an art form for Canadians.

  4. With respect to the post about purchasing Swedish defense aircraft and Kate’s comment about the Allen Key, it reminds me of a very early episode on The Big Bang Theory. Howard Wolowitz and the guys are trying to assemble something from IKEA for Penny and Howard comments that this is the reason why Sweden does NOT have a space program. If assembling something from IKEA is difficult (and do not forget, there is always a part missing), then the space program would be on the magnitude order of 100.

  5. Re The Politics of Pretence:

    Late 20th Century so-called Liberals are uncreative, unproductive members of society.
    They know it when witnessing actual creativity, which they admire for a time but come to resent,
    as the child or the simple minded are comfortably spiteful.

    This is self evident when accusing Chi-Coms, or the old USSR, of stealing technology
    rather than pursuing ingenuity; Castro’s Cuba is obviously lazy yet power hungry.
    Ottawa, ie the Laurentian Elite, ie the ‘Natural Governing Party’ can only survive by hook or by crook.

    The productively creative are always a minority in any society;
    the general population is attracted to, and mimic them in various ways.
    This is a healthy culture.

    The “willingness to receive as fact what is blatantly fiction” is reflected in dreams
    where trees might walk & talk but it’s not astonishing; the Left lives their lives this way.
