If you’re of an old enough generation, then you may have enjoyed several Peter Sellers Pink Panther films. You probably never realized there are great Intricacies of the Pink Panther Theme.

Bonus: This evening, I think I met the luckiest unlucky fellow in Florida. I went to a seafood restaurant in Kendall, a southern suburb of Miami. I had my dinner at the bar. At one end was a 29 year old Puerto Rican American who had quite a story to tell to everyone within earshot. In between expletives, we all learned that he had just been released from one week’s detainment somewhere in the state, arrested because a former girlfriend he accidentally ran into told police that she had a restraining order against him, but apparently did not. Apparently “that’s what you get for getting involved with a Mexican”, he added. We also learned that over the past decade, he has been awarded $500,000 for lawsuits against the police for 6 improper arrests. He has never spent any of this money but somehow owns 215 acres of land in Puerto Rico, 15 acres in North Carolina, and even more in Tennessee. He doesn’t feel the need to work any longer but does have a job at the airport. He also added that one certain way to win a lawsuit is to slip & fall at a Target store. If any of you want some life & financial advice, I could tell you where to find him, because he seems to be a regular there.

    1. I have great memories of the Murray Armstrong-coached DU championships in the sixties. Growing up in Colorado, it was inspiring. Like Billy Kidd medaling in the 1964 Olympic games in Innsbruck.

    There’s been many a mention here of how judges in Canada allow all sorts of repeat offenders loose to society, this CourtWatch site is in early days and only in Florida. Perhaps they’ll find the way north as well someday…

    2. There were some statistics released last week that permitted a fairly sketchy extrapolation to the level of crimes committed by illegal aliens in the US in total.

      After the Nuggets put away the Spurs I’ll go back and revisit that and post if appropriate. It might be informative to correlate those numbers with the CourtWatch data.

      The Democrats made no secret of the fact that in the last two years of the Dead Biden Walking administration they worked to appoint as many progressive/liberal judges as possible. We are undoubtedly suffering some fallout from that political aberration.

    1. Of course she never consulted the constituents. I won’t say HER because we are supposed to be a free people and they/him/her/louse representatives. Snort. IT never asked anyone with a possible dissenting opinion. I wonder what influences Mike Bradley, 21plus year mayor of Sarnia, cast upon her. IT recently had a riding redistricting to incorporate more rural Ontario, which loathed anything remotely Liberal. The past few provincial elections the Liberals could barely scratch together a list of candidates for the rural areas of Essex, Kent and Lambton counties

    I hope you didn’t believe anything this guy said. Because he was lying. Had he stopped short of the Target comment it would have somewhat believable (or less suspect). But, the Target comment proves he’s (at the very least) embellishing. Target has one of the best security camera systems in the business. It’s so advanced that it can tell if you have unscanned items concealed on your person. They cover nearly every part of the store as well as the checkout area and outside parking area. There are very few places in a Target store you can fake a slip and fall without being the star of your own “Reality TV Show”.

    I am amazed by the number of people out there who will spin yarns to willing listeners. As a student of military history and a former part-time soldier I have heard from too many soldiers who earned a fist full of medals that were never presented because the special forces stuff they did was top secret. I’ve met a Canadian Airborne soldier who parachuted into action in Vietnam. I’ve met someone who dropped bombs in Lebanon in 1958 while on a peacekeeping mission? I’ve met an Australian Army Vietnam veteran who said he was a POW who on checking wasn’t listed as a Vietnam veteran and curiously Australia never lost any POWs. Some people are just full of shit and army stuff seems to be a popular topic.
