  1. sooooooooo better to smash the $250,000 truck than bend the crossing gate?
true, situations like that time is of the essence, buuuuut . . . . . .
(perhaps the vid can be utilized as a recruiting ad?)

  2. Come on now … it’s not the drivers fault. It’s our fault. For not posting; “Stop, Look, and Listen” at every railway crossing … in Punjabi (and several other languages).

These drivers didn’t grow up attending our schools where we teach our elementary school children to … “Stop, Look, and Listen” . So how can you expect them to have learned it?

    1. After all … we’re renaming everything else … in some imaginary Rosetta Stone language

  3. Why didn’t that driver back the truck off the tracks?
Did he know he was on the tracks …
.. or was he an immigrant who knows nothing about trucking?

Asking for at least have of the country ….

    1. He didn’t want to break the crossing guard gate, which was between the back of the cab and the front of the trailer. He saved a $10,000 guard gate at the expense of a $200,000 tractor. Helluvadeal!

Nah, the gate was busted in crash too.

  4. ‘No animals were injured in the making of this video.’
…That better not have been my Amazon package in that trailer!

    1. Yes, I was trying to figure out which intersection and rail crossing in Taber. Turns out I wasn’t suffering memory loss at all.

There is a FB post of the actual Taber crash happening. The guy simply parked with the trailer on the track.

      1. It was deliberate, MikeT.
        Deliberate.
        What supply chain?
        Who paid?
PS: Taber corn is tasty in season.

  5. You know, if it wasn’t for Twitter (Musk) and SDA, I would have absolutely no idea whatsoever that our trucking industry has been quietly taken over by some of the worst drivers on the ******* planet. I’ve always been extremely courteous to the drivers of 18 wheelers, knowing that they have a challenging job, and letting them merge into my lane when others typically don’t, but now I’m just going to go ahead and assume that pretty much all of these people behind the wheel nowadays have absolutely no clue how to operate these things and will henceforth “steer clear” (literally) of these people until every single one of these street s******s is deported.

  6. Seems a certain demographics has a problem with trains. Is the concept too Western? Probably a white supremacist engineer.

  7. No Anglais? Pas de probleme.
The economy class CDL training courses don’t cover the use of ‘R’.
