    Lead (pronounced “led”) is a gray, soft, heavy metal.

    Lead (pronounced “leed”) is a verb meaning to guide someone following you.

    Led (pronounced “led”) is the past tense of lead, the verb.

    1. Dan Thomas, good on you. Lead for led is such a common mistake now. The other is using disinterested (unbiased or neutral) for uninterested (not interested).
