Sometimes being a woman has its advantages and she played her cards well (the slightly shaken, upset but composed voice). To the point that the Ambassador (he should look up that word) tried to appeal to her by using her first name (Nora) and asked her to be more delicate (on the verge of a threat). You’re veering badly off the road by the time that happens and he never recovered. For an Iranian Muslim man to plead with an unveiled white woman who ends up scolding him is a public relations disaster for Iran.
100 percent correct. He was expecting the deference that men receive in his country but was unable to use language that a Western woman would consider anything but demeaning.
