  1. I’ve seen this myself. Newsies do an interview, then they cut it up to show what they want, put theme music behind it and suddenly it says something completely different from what you said.

This is -normal- for media. This is what they always do. Which is why I do not watch media anymore. Because lying liars lie.

This is also why Joe Rogan, Triggernometry etc. are so successful. Hour and a half to two hour interview, no cuts, they show the whole thing.

    1. Anybody who agrees to an interview by any of the MSM gets exactly what they deserve. And if, as was noted below, they threaten to burn you, two can play at that game. And I play a very, very, long game…

  2. “We don’t trust the mainstream media with this story now.” They should never be trusted with any story, ever.
Just like there are contradictory stories about the deaths of children at a school in war torn Iran. One side wants to blame the orange man and another wants to blame the Islamic regime. What story you get depends on your source.
I am fortunate in that I started having improper interactions with news media decades ago, so I have always been suspect. Hopefully all of you are as well. Remember that it isn’t only the stories you have personal involvement with that are incorrect.

  3. Hey Canada, no need to break apart the driver’s family if he’s deported. Deport the entire family, wife, children parents, siblings…
US “border czar” Tom Homan has repeatedly assured illegal families they won’t be separated but will ALL be deported.

  4. The Liberal Party of Canada, with their MAID, their CBC, their Illegal Immigration,
and their homicidal driver training schools,
have descended into the madness of despising Canadians.

Their contrived “empathy” for this driver, who deserves the rope,
    reeks of hell.

  5. I was going to go into details about some of the encounters we had with the media (dealing with flight safety) but I won’t bother. The information we provided (to make sure the facts were accurately reported) was twisted to feed a story that there was a conspiracy of willfull disregard for aircrew safety and lives. That was W5. The media attitude at the time: “You will give us the information or we will burn you”. This is a direct quote from a newspaper editor (still at the Toronto star) to a room full of Sr people involved in aviation safety in late nineties. They don’t care how many lives are ruined or how many lies are told as long as they get their piece done along the narrative they want to push.

  6. Perhaps this thought maybe rather forward, the guy should have been deported as he came out of the slammer.
Then again the bottom feeders would not be able to make mountains of $$$.

  7. L – Digital media allows the audience an unprecedented, long form access to witnesses, important people and true experts. Live and or uncut interviews by skilled interviewers, asking perceptive questions is the red meat for truth seekers capable of critical thought.

True experts love being questioned, having an opportunity to share with others of a curious mind. The pursuit of knowledge, the sharing of wisdom acquired is why our species is called Homo Sapiens(thinking man). Just as we have a natural affinity to watching physical combat and herald the winner, the hero. We have the same for intellectual combat. The truth hits like a solid punch or flurry thereof. It is why Jordan Peterson’s skillful disassembling of that British female tv interviewer, the one attempting to label him “sexist” went viral. He became the Bruce Lee of The Way Of Intercepting Thought. His magnanimity in victory, in good humour was the mark of the truly heroic.

The dinosaur media is truly moribund and it is only their role in brainwashing those higher in the personality trait of neuroticism(fear) that keeps them fed by their keepers.

  8. “They talk,they don’t listen”.
Given their passion for the sacred narrative, there is very little point submitting to an “interview” from CBC.

Few years back we were all treated to the spectacle of a CBC talking head, pretending to cover the Fraser River floods..
Babbling of Biblical Flood Levels, with a sign displaying past high water marks ,looming above her..
    Must protect the sacred narrative.

  9. There’s another observation which I’m sure most here are aware of.
If you really want to know how bad the newspapers (and MSM in general) are read an article about a subject in which you have real expertise and discover that the writer is clueless. Then imagine that epiphany experienced by real experts across all subjects.
