In a normal country, the government would be telling people whose status is expiring that they need to plan their departure from Canada so they don’t overstay and jeopardize their chance to coming back. But this is a country that keeps electing the Liberals and is constantly suprised at the consequences of bad policy, even though the consequences were perfectly foreseeable.
