OMG this is ridiculous:
Conservative Party members have just voted down an amendment to the party constitution that would only allow citizens to vote in nominations.
Non-Citizens are able to buy party memberships and vote in nomination races.
One Conservative MP, Brad Redekopp, spoke in favour of the…

IMO any Western Canadian who thinks that the federal Tories are their solution to a better future is seriously deluding themselves.

Anaida (Galindo) poilievre is an interesting name to research. Not implying.
“It was in 2002 that I became a Canadian citizen. I remember the ceremony, joy & pride I felt to finally be able to say out loud “I am Canadian”.My brother & I had the biggest smiles & held our Cdn flags with pride. Today, he is in the military. Canada is the BEST country. Period.”
I think Ana Poilievre is one of the brighter people within the Conservative Party.
I am not saying she is not, but I am saying that the media never talks about a young woman being a parliamentary affairs advisor to the senate at twenty years old who then later elopes with the Prime Minister in waiting (Poilievre). I do find that odd.
Pierre is 8 years older than Ana
Pierre Trudeau was 29 years older than Margaret SInclair
I guess the media which still fawns over Trudeau couldn’t say too much?
Oh, you’re just jealous that they’re not importing hot babes for you. Don’t worry, that’s the natural way to feel. I’d feel that way too if I weren’t so old.
They don’t talk a lot about her family from back in the day in Venezuela either; you would think that would be such a fabulous human interest story, especially now.
Wasn’t her father a banker?
Indeed.
Pat was my favorite also. He was on CKNW if I remember correctly.
sooooooo there are still those who fail to realize when one adopts a strategy, mandate, purpose, etc of the opposition, in some measure you have now BECOME the thing you oppose.
also, the bystanders see you for a wannabe and maintaint their voting patter for tej original.
das politicks !!!
I wonder which diaspora was putting on the pressure to ensure foreign influence? CCP? Talk about “me too” conservatism!
L – It appears there are two globalist parties competing or is it co-operating(?) into making Canada truly, into the first post nation-state.
Alberta, Saskatchewan and Quebec are the only provinces still loyal to the concept of a nation, which, by definition, is foundational to a nation-state. May they live long and prosper.
Demoralization.
“IMO any Western Canadian who thinks that the federal Tories are their solution to a better future is seriously deluding themselves.”
Correct. As long as unlimited terms of office are allowed by our constitution, the elite oligarchy that rules us will consist mainly of people whose prime instinct is to maintain their sinecure. No matter which team you root for, they’re all playing the same game.
I wonder if Poilievre still supports the notion of term-limits.
Anybody w/ more than 2 brain cells to rub together knew years ago that the CPC are merely members of the Uniparty.
Didn’t watch
But I can tell that the type of separatism that will be demonized over the next election cycle won’t be the type coming from Quebec.
On the plus side
No one will be talking about race, abortion, or even Trump by the time the next election rolls around, unless the liberal (Carney) poll numbers start tanking.
As to who the CPC leader is won’t matter a damn. 50% minimum of the ridings in Montreal Toronto Ottawa and Vancouver have a compromised population. By that I mean the voters in those ridings (actually any urban riding) are beneficiaries of the government. Because of generational propaganda these voters perceive any politician or party that campaigns on limited government is an existential threat.
Under those circumstances a real conservative has a snowballs chance in hell of forming government much less obtaining a majority.
This is the problem in Lilliput a country formerly referred to as Canada.
The ppl who run the libtards, also have great influence on the Cuckservatives, once ppl accept that, the dynamics within kanadian politics is much easier to understand.
A long, long time ago I used to think voting Conservative was the way.
Then I thought, well at least they’re better than corrupt Liberals.
And that evolved into – at least they’re not corrupt, evil, anti-Canadian traitors.
But when have they ever been conservative?
The country is hooped and the genie ain’t going back in the bottle and even if it could be put back, nobody in this party is capable.
Enjoy the decline.
Totally agree.
I once thought the Conservatives could right this ship.
Can never happen, the imbalance of power, the unelected senate, and the ever increasing numbers of the electorate that lean more and more into socialism have sealed this country’s fate.
Conservatives lost due to the implosion of the NDP. The only reason Conservatives could ever elect a majority in the last 50 years was due to a healthy vote split on the loony left where the purple/pink hairs and commies were slightly confused.
We’re cooked.
If I were younger and not as fat and lazy as I am now, I’d move to the U.S. in a heartbeat. I’ve started to counsel my kids to seriously think about it, as much as it would break my heart to add distance.
Everything that was once good about Canada has gone down the tubes. It’s just semantics at this point.
People fail to mention that we still have a King and this particular one has a fancy for China (his palace is full of their “advisors”) and all things green. So if anyone wonders why the colonies are sucking China’s dick, they need look no further than England.
