In one of the files revealed by @camhigby, a resources file directs people with money to a website, Stand with Minnesota, which in turns directs donors to a campaign ran by Tending the Soil on Chuffed.

More about Tending the Soil later. What to know: the campaign is hosted by Chuffed and the first donation came from Jonny Soppotiuk, a Canada-based community organizer who is part of Chuffed leadership and specializes in fundraising. He is most likely a central figure in raising money.

So, yeah. Starting to look like foreigners are playing a key role in all of this.

  1. Nice spin attempt. Creating a communication network is not illegal, last time I checked. The fascination with Signal Chat reminds me of the ramblings of Naomi Klein. In other news, Greg Bovino got posted, literally overnight, back to California. Is that just a coincidence, or is Trump genuinely worried that Bovino’s absurd allegations about Pretti were just too over the top, even for him?

    The events of the last few days have been nothing less than a massive public relations disaster for Trump. Leavitt’s conciliatory press conference yesterday was a marked departure from the usual vitriole fest.

  2. I believe Frey and Walz have more motivation to move this to fruition coming directly from the Somalis. The original Somali settlement in the US established itself in Lewiston, ME. The Somali immigrant population in Lewiston ME got as high as 15,000…then *BOOM* it dropped down to about 3,500. Why?

    They’re tribal. When a group moves elsewhere, the core follows. Hence, Dublin, OH. Then Minneapolis. More moved on to San Diego (which has about 15,000).

    My point is that Frey and Walz, and all those politicians in the City, State, and Federal who rely on the Somali vote, and their unique brand of campaign financing might be starting to worry that the Somalis will drop everything and move on to another location in “tribal bulk.” A good guess would be to the San Diego faction. Law enforcement is closing in on Somali fraud in Minneapolis. The motivation for Somalis to “get the hell out of Dodge” before it all comes down on them is pretty strong. California offers more protection to continue their creative financing, and a Somali community is already set up and running.

    I think Frey, Walz and the rest are caught between a rock and a hard place. They continue down the same path that they’re on, and lose that which they are attempting to preserve. Or they could try to manage the damage to their “dependable” constituency, cooperate partially with the Feds….and perhaps save a portion of the set up. As far as the fraud goes….Judges are their last line of defense. But, it’s a good one. Cases are either tried in Minnesota (Minneapolis) which is compromised, or tried in DC, also compromised.

    1. Be prepared for quite a few of them to move to Canada; you have a rather significant population of them already, and of course your officials have been most welcoming. Not sure they’d get as much fat stacks of cash, but at this point security may mean more than money — plus there’s always drug work and human trafficking; they’re skilled at that.
      Just a hop and a skip across the border to Winnipeg!

Now, the #SignalGate names, foreign and domestic, rich or mega rich, are subject to the new rules – doxxing, scrutiny and pressure.

    People catch on fast to the new rules. The daughter of a very high ranking Iranian Regime official found out last week. The Iranian diaspora in the US is organized and discovered the daughter employed at Emery University’s cancer research center. On January 19, protesters appeared carrying signs revealing the daughter’s relationship to the Iranian Regime. Even if the daughter was Albert Schweitzer reincarnated, Emery U couldn’t take the heat and she’s gone.
