      1. Leftists always take on a problem with the full intention to make it into everyone else’s problem.

  1. Surprised you guys didn’t pull this off of Instapundit. Stephen Green has an article up on PJ Media here:

It includes video of a citizen of Toronto that Brian Lilley posted to X.

The guy is playing around with land acknowledgements, only instead of referencing one of the Tribes, he acknowledges the taxpayer. It takes place in front of the Budget Subcommittee…and the faces of the politicians are just priceless. They are angry and really want to interupt him, but the gentleman just keep hammering them with facts. You’d enjoy it.

  2. Something a lot of people don’t know: the US Virgin Islands were acquired from Denmark in 1917.

“the Treaty of the Danish West Indies, in which Denmark sold the Danish West Indies—comprising St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix, and numerous smaller islands and rocks—to the United States for $25 million in gold (approximately $614 million today).

Strategic and financial motivations drove the transaction: the U.S. sought to secure the Caribbean and protect the Panama Canal during World War I, while Denmark viewed the islands as a financial burden.”

    1. Protect the Panama Canal? That’s BS. Puerto Rico is between the Virgin Islands and the Panama Canal and it’s 1000 times bigger.

      1. “It sought to secure the Caribbean”. Puerto Rico is just one island, the US wanted more.

  3. Megan Elsley is Amelia.
