Around Halloween, put your car keys and valuables in a bowl on the front porch with the candy for trick or treaters and grand larceny candidates. Christmas time (oh sorry, for the “Holidays”) decorate your outside trees with keys, jewelry, baubles, and syringes. You get the idea. Be creative.
The schizophrenic nature of progressives is truly a sight to behold. Why?
– they want people stacked into big cities but are making cities unlivable because of their other policies allowing crime, drug addiction, crappy public services and crazy high taxes.
– they want people to take public transportation but buses and trains are turning into criminal hangouts, flop houses, and outhouses.
– progressives want big government but participate in government corruption and fraud. The corruption is so blatant that there is now growing backlash against big government programs and distrust in government institutions.
– they lecture people to reduce their carbon footprint while the rich elitists promoting the doomsday climate narrative all travel from the beachfront mansions into exotic locations in their luxurious private aircraft and mega-yachts.
There is many more examples and all illustrate how progressives are their own worst enemy. They inevitably destroy everything they try to promote.
The Left views the general populace as nothing more than livestock. The real sad part is that too many sheeple are okay with it.
The majority of people are followers by nature but followers are fickle and the herd can change who they’re following in a rather sudden and dramatic way.

Well before COVID, the Bell telephone store in my area was doing the same thing. I was looking for a phone case one day and the door was locked during the business hours printed on the door finally someone unlocked the door and let me in. I asked what was going on and he told me that the Mega Mall down the road was experiencing youth smash and grabs. An “adult” would drive the yoots to the mall and pick them up after they had stolen as much loot as possible. Major targets were the jewellery stores, cell phone and tech stores (like Apple).
The crime had spilled over into our little city, and the shopkeepers were responding, The Rogers store was open, but they had a security guard posted and the local wal mart rearranged the interior to help deter crime and they had a security guard posted, as well.

If I owned a retail store in London, Ontario (since that is the photo used in the article) I would do the following.
1. Everything in the store would have a double price sticker. One would say $5,001. The other would give the actual price as a member of the store’s preferred customer registry (sort of like Sam’s Club membership).
2. To gain a membership, all you need do is take your purchase to the cash register, wait in line, like a normal little human being. Then the secondary membership price would apply.
3. If you are a retail thief (a shoplifter), the original price of $5,001 will still apply as you absconded with your stolen booty. BUT, $5,000 is the threshold between an indictable offense (with a potential 10 year prison sentence) and a summary offense (wrist slap and a wave). Now, the law enforcement is obligated to respond and arrest. The DA is obligated to pursue what is referred to in Canada, a severe indictable offense.
