Great post. No doubt the goal here was to deprive China of oil and influence over Panama Canal. Depriving Cuba of cash for its military stationed in Venezuela is part of it. Getting Hezbollah out of the place (Iran) part of the plan. Protecting the American Gulf coast from possible Chinese missiles part of the plan.
