Only Sharing with Canadians What’s Acceptable for You to Hear

Here’s an interesting juxtaposition shared by an SDA regular:

Here’s a fun exercise for you: Read through the entire National Post article. Then read through the first 2 paragraphs of the article from the Seattle news station. Do you notice a glaring difference?

    1. Is that what a “native” of Canada means? I call myself a CA native … but I’m no MiWok Indian.

    2. And that means border patrol can’t stop her from entering the US, because of the Jay Treaty.

  1. Huh? I’ve been told marijuana vape pens mellow you out? Perhaps she just wasn’t stoned-enough? A few more draws on her vape pen, eh? A violent, irrational, combative illegal border hopper who shits and pisses herself hardly sounds like the mellow pot user of popular fantasy …

again you hump off at the gums on topics you know SFA about, as is usual with you.
When I used to ‘smoke’ shit, I always became aggressive, always, a friend suggested that was because of my ADD.
and that is one of the reasons I quit the shit.
Now go apologize to Snowden for your bad mouthing the Hero, Idiot!

      1. The myths “Pot makes you mellow Man!” and “Pot smokers don’t beat their wives.” have been perpetuated for a long time. I have seen many examples that dump on those fallacies. Like any other foreign substance introduced into a person’s body, the effects are different from person to person.

    2. In Shitholeistan, said squaw’s wee temper tantrum would have got her exactly what she wanted and more.

Well done to those border patrol folks!!

In the USA the blacks get ghosted like that, if yer white, your identity is front and center, if POC, you are invisible in the news item.

  3. As per KIRO 7 website here she is –
“Lindsay Anne Moffatt, a native and citizen of Canada, is charged in U.S. District Court with assault on a federal officer and improper entry into the United States.”

    1. You are correct! The SDA regular who shared this story with me pointed out that only the American news outlet shared her name. Why did the National Post not do so? It’s public knowledge. It’s part of the story. Why not share it???

  4. I like US Border agents, so much nicer on average in my experience than Canadian agents. Good luck to her EVER crossing again.

    1. I always guess that US Border Guards transferred from the Marines a week ago and are itching to do a bunch of body cavity searches. I get the impression that Canadian Border Guards are bored to tears, looking for zero excitement in their lives.

  5. Is it even possible for an Indian to illegally enter the US, Jay’s Treaty and all that. Why would border guards want to tangle themselves in such shit? I guess it’s what they do.

    1. Even natives have to provide a status card, and acting so publicly the fool is going to get anyone into trouble. Either she was doing the “don’t you know who I am?” stunt or there was a definite attempt at stirring the pot.

  6. An unremarkable story other than the psychological molding that the media engages in. So, what is the message that Canada wants Canadians to hear, and what is the take away for Americans? It tells people on both sides what your governments want you to hear because it helps further their goals. And those goals have shifted a bit (especially for Americans).

For the record, and not that my opinion counts for much, but: Mzzzz. Moffat was probably meeting her fiance to get their dog (co-custodianship of a pet in the age of childlessness?) and rather than following the rules decided those didn’t apply to her, and got stupidly incredulous when she found out they did (but then it’s all about living one’s truth in the TikTok age).

    1. The American article notes that surveillance camera footage from the park supports the events described in the charges.
