LLMs aren’t AGI and you can’t get to AGI from an LLM. Dr. Russell has a point that LLMs make great propaganda machines, and we’re going to have to confront that soon, but the other 1h45m is just an underpants gnomes theory that LLMs will somehow get us to AGI.
