  1. O….M….G … and I thought Ebonics was a cultural low point? But that wasn’t low-enough, evidently. Now we need to speak in some gangstah-rap-nig-nagging halting stream of semiconsciousness.

Please tell me this was an HBCU debate … dat dere’s no white folk involved?

  2. This is from the BBC “News” but was widely reported at real news outlets as well…

“News that a high school student wrote nothing but #BlackLivesMatter on his personal statement in an application to California’s Stanford University – and got in – has been raising some eyebrows.
Stanford University was ranked third in the world by Times Higher Education last year, and only admitted about 1 in 20 of the students who applied for an undergraduate place.”

I still think Stanford is a fine school, sometimes these things slip through the cracks.
As for the above bimbo at the debate, I don’t see an advantage for mentioning her sexual preferences in a debate on presidential war powers authority, but do think it may be advantageous to at least acknowledge that the root of those war powers are sourced within the Constitution Article 1 Section 8 and expanded upon in the Federalist Papers #41 and #69 and in at least 3 other pages there. Further, if she’d like to change that section to perhaps institute a “queer clause” so she could claim an exemption based upon who she chooses to have performative sex with, there is an accepted method of having that inserted into the constitution.

Perhaps if she were able to pause her Only Fans page for a few hours she could look into those…

  3. Wondering how Crockett got elected? Bring back The Shulman File 1977 – 1983. Peak music, peak television, peak movies in these five years.

  4. What was all the “UH UH” crap about? Clearly they were reading it from a screen of some kind, so it must have been written down that way. This doesn’t look real to me.

  5. I’ve seen this type of thing before from American “universities”. They call it a “debate” but it’s a rap contest. Idiocy.

To be fair though, we all still remember “If the glove don’t fit you must acquit!” right? Even though O.J. is safely dead, presumably enjoying his just rewards in the afterlife, we still remember that bit of doggerel from Johnnie Cochran. So possibly there is a constituency in the USA that can be swayed by this sort of thing.

    Ghod help us.

    1. pantom
There was an opinion piece , were the author suggested OJ was covering for his son, which would make sense if the boy was upset that his dad was jilted, and happened to be the case.
You like to whine about schiff you haven’t kept abreast of.

      1. “You like to whine about schiff you haven’t kept abreast of.”

So, some internet rando you can’t even name has an OJ Simpson opinion that I haven’t heard about?

        How awful.

But I’m confused as to what that has to do with the courtroom antics of Johnny Cochrane, as it applies to the utterly idiotic “debate” performance on display in the video.

  6. Has a sort of “slam poetry” vibe, which is also complete garbage, but dumb ass white folk pretending they enjoy/admire stuff like this for a few decades now is why we’re so far down this road to total oblivion. Thank God for Trump because we still have a fighting chance to turn this ship around.

  7. Can you imagine preparing for a debate thinking it’s going to be judged on facts and logic and persuasion, only to lose to… whatever this is? You would feel like you had been betrayed by the organizers.

The good news is that the market tends to self correct. The Cross Examination Debate Association may find itself losing credibility, to be replaced by more traditional debate organizations.

  8. The video of the two darlings is over a decade old but the style has been widely adapted and polished up a tad. “Slam poetry” are the words I was looking for as well.
If you’ve ever seen Michael Eric Dyson in a debate… he’ll occasionally use the same rapid fire technique, sprinkling in a few big words along the way to impress opponents about his education bona fides and for those in the audience “who can’t read good” .
Another one is that obnoxious asshat “Destiny” whose real name escapes me and I’m too lazy to look up… talks so fast one needs to go to settings to slow it down a notch. Quelle surprise… .75 doesn’t make him any smarter.

  9. Haha. If you don’t own a fenced off compound in the middle of nowhere surrounded by likeminded individuals; good luck. Things are about to get western.

  10. So except for a few northern factory owners who thought it morally wrong to pay a white man what his labour was worth, who, exactly, gained anything from Negro emancipation?
