  1. This is a great idea but a few things …

    1. looks like the pipeline goes through a small section section of B.C. into Kingsgate which would involve both B.C. and the Feds. Crossing the border would involve the Feds
    2. the diagram says “energy supply”, “export terminals” and “pipeline” but does not mention specifics like natural gas, crude oil or fuel (processed gasoline and diesel)
    3. the Northwest pipeline to Oregon is (I believe) for processed fuels and Washington is in the process of shutting this stuff down as it chases processors out of state for Net Zero insanity requirements
    4. Washington state is insane to the same level as B.C. so is this just a “pipe-dream”?
    5. Isn’t it Washington state that won’t allow the U.S. to export its own coal supplies? Why would they approve crude oil?

    1. Yes, let’s solve a complex problem with an even more complex solution with even more players that we don’t have any influence on.

      1. A possible solution (that solves 2 problems) is to export fuel (gasoline and diesel) into Washington and into the pipeline that supplies 92% of Oregon’s fuel requirements. This will let Washington shutter its refineries, Oregon gets to stay alive, and Alberta can build its own processing facilities.

I see transporting crude oil as a bridge too far to the west coast unless the FN take over B.C. Then it’s business on again because as least the FN are reasonable (I know – can’t believe I’m saying that).

If you’re going to add players you have to make them dependent on you.

      1. Washington doesn’t give a flying f*** what is in America’s best interest; and yes, Steve is correct when he stated (above) that Washington has for years prevented construction of an export terminal within its borders to enable the export of clean low-sulfur American coal to Asia.
The proposal just looks like the next (failed) Keystone pipeline.

    2. The pipeline through Kingsgate already exists. The Greater Idaho project is making great strides and has almost gotten to the Pacific Coast through Oregon. Individual States can’t stop an interstate pipeline although they will certainly try to with legal gymnastics.

  2. Application for a new country:

    “Here we go!! ”

“Alberta’s Chief Electoral Officer, Gordon McClure, has received a notice of intent to apply for the issuance of a citizen initiative petition for a constitutional referendum proposal. The notice of intent was filed by Mitch Sylvestre on December 11, 2025, and meets the requirements of the Citizen Initiative Act section 1.1. Written notice, as required in s.1.1(5), was provided to the elector on December 12, 2025.”

“It looks like Alberta will be collecting signatures in the New Year, to start the process of SEPARATING FROM CANADA”

  3. The more export products that bypass the rest of Canada, the weaker the anti-Alberta/Saskatchewan “but you’re landlocked” argument becomes. Diminishing the ability of the rest of Canada to continue to hold Alberta and Saskatchewan industries and exports hostage is important to the western prairie independence project. Of course Ottawa and the other provinces could just stop sabotaging the prairie’s economic development and reform the equalization program but, apparently, that’s asking for too much. Alberta and Saskatchewan have been patient and tolerant of the rest of Canada’s abusive behavior for far too long.

    1. In addition:
If Carney’s Liberal government can pass legislation to exempt corporations from Canadian laws (except criminal laws) and regulations, then why can’t they also give the same exemptions to Alberta and Saskatchewan? Make Alberta and Saskatchewan a special economic zone like other countries have established.

A special economic zone definition : A special economic zone (SEZ) is a designated area within a country that has different business and trade regulations compared to the rest of the country, aimed at promoting economic growth and attracting foreign investment. SEZs often offer tax incentives, reduced tariffs, and streamlined regulations to encourage businesses to operate within them.

  4. Like Trump said

“It would be easier if Canada just became the 51st”

This sort of proves the point.

  5. I know fckall about pipelines, but that the Left coast is as against them as they are law and order.
That’s why there is a schism in Washington state.
    You’re fcked.
Steve from Rockwood above says it nicer.

  6. I recall an interview with a native guy that had spoken to the native tribes in the Northwest territories about a pipeline to the Alaska pipeline.
Those natines were quite enthused about the proposal. It was called the ‘Eaglefeather Pipeline’ or ‘Eaglefeather Route’ or something.
It started near Fort McMurray and avoided BC completely.
Perhaps something like that could be revamped. Probably way better than trying to placate the sniveling A’holes along the coast and attempting to pay off the Indigents in the interior of BC.

  7. I know pretty much nothing about pipelines, their economics and construction. I do know that, in the long run, they are more cost effective than rail. (read that somewhere)

For all of this talk about pipelines and this MOU business (that, on the surface, looks like absolute trash) let us assume we can get a pipeline built to tidewater, in BC or through the States
1> How long will it take?
2> How much will it cost?
3> What will it make once it is in operation?

On the very surface, let us assume it takes 10 years and 10 billion dollars (that’s a mighty big if as it would mean keeping the extortionists and kleptocrats out of the way)
In that same time, a free and independent Alberta would put 250 billion in its pocket (25 billion per year for 10 years)
I think we would be much wiser to concentrate on the immediate return of escaping from a dying, gasping, stupid, little pathetic waste of a “post-national state” before it drags all of us under.
There will be no pipeline built.

    1. Question is, what is easier? Rounding up communists or building a pipeline into a socialist paradise that knows it needs fossil fuel but just can’t admit it. I think the latter is easier, so good luck separating from Canada. If I thought Alberta was serious about separating, I’d move there before it happened. But then I look at all the NDP voters and I shake my head.

      1. Valid.
Over the next 10 months, we need to convince the parasites that the host that they leech off will be much stronger and their will be more revenue to line their pockets at the expense of others. Which, really, is all they care about.

Still ready to help with “Allez Vite” campaign after October 5th.

  8. Bring back “Diagolon”,join Northern BC.Alberta,Saskatchewan and the Yukon..gain the NWT by default.
This will help Ottawa Panic even more.

A damn fine nation, call it Buffalo..Make Stampede our motto.

Nice Map ,very odd pipeline routes inside what is currently BC.
The Left Coast is a lost cause, until they suffer the consequences of their insane policies, those of Gang Green, nothing will reach them.
When and only when the interior and their north break away from Victoria and refuse to keep funding the coastal thieves, will anything change.

Freeloaders and parasites do not voluntarily change their ways.
Never Done Paying is the Urban Madness.
The Free Stuff Army is relentless, ever willing to rob the productive to enrich themselves.
Edmonton and Calgary being two loci of this madness..
Now it is only madness in the longterm..Short term the minions vote to get theirs,as long as it lasts to retirement.
Short term, whats a little corruption?
Whats a little conflict of interest?
As long as it benefits the “right people”?
    Longterm?
Where did that civil society and high trust community go?

This “New Country” how shall it differ from the old country?
    Every 80 years,things go sideways..
    Or self correct.
With the train set in motion, maybe we need some alternate plans??
Fortress North America…Free one way flights, for the freeloaders.

  9. First, if Alberta were a separate country Canada would be obligated under international law to allow their products (oil, etc.) to get to tide water. It’s stupid that the same rule doesn’t apply within the country. Second, I don’t believe that America would allow an independent Alberta into the union. Better for them to have Alberta as a vassal state, then they can squeeze them without having to worrying about pesky things like votes and representation.

  10. Which would serve the national interest of the USA better?
The Oil Sands, inside a State? Or two.
Or an Oil Sands kingdom,on their northern border, seeking to escape vassal state position?

An Independent West would need to establish alternate pipelines,or have no leverage.
    A State would not care.

    What serves the Western Interests?
    Standing alone?
Or merging with an established order, known constitution, existing national defence structure and current monetary system?
What does it serve Canada’s interest to further alienate Western Canadians?

    What do we want?

My own feeling is ,Too late for Can Ahh Duh..
That Ottawa and the eastern voter will never change, before Western Funds are cut off.
And that trust cannot be reestablished.
    Who would trust Ottawa?
Why should we trust the judgement of our Eastern Urban Comrades?
One Trudeau, might have been a mistake.
Decades of support for liars, thieves and bandits???
    No mistake.

Statehood ,if achievable is the easiest path to “self determination”.
While remaining as we are, same rules ,new boss.

A new country is possible,if we really want to change…
Are we willing to abandon the welfare state?

Canada has abandoned individual rights and free speech.

I am not advocating “leaving Canada” for Canada as I knew it ,left me some decades ago.

This State of thuggery, wherein government shall censor speech, rule that “truth” is not a legal defence, declare a state of emergency over nothing and then decide that they, serial liars one and all, shall tell me what truth shall be..has made its position known to all.

Suicide by stupidity is not my Canada.
Maybe countries can be too big.
Maybe too many people are too diverse to reach a common understanding.
Civilization requires common rules, ethics and a belief that justice shall occur..

“Forget the West,we will take the rest..”
Should have told us all we needed to know.
