Jerleen Anderson Sullivan’s Facebook post about Norway House Cree Nation caught attention because it was fearless. She revealed that one councillor claimed $236,111 in expenses, another $141,062, and that together, the council’s expenses reached $871,731 for only seven members. Salaries were roughly $102,000 per councillor, the Chief just under $120,000. Expenses exceeded pay. Her question was simple but piercing: where did all that money go?
My guess is to the Librano’s, and Swiss bank accounts. And maybe a Nigerian Prince or the Brooklyn bridge.
If their expenses weren’t covered, would they stop being councillors and chief?
Who can afford an 84” Big Screen TV on a paltry salary of $102k? Chiefs have needs, yo.
The slave class paying their benefits doesn’t have the right to question the cost. Trudeau’s Charter says so.
I would bet that the rule, perhaps a law that certain Harper passed and the Idiot that followed him repealed, is forgotten and nobody is the wiser about that.

Yeah, Harper was vilified by the libtrash, the media (same thing, really) and the layabout indians when he wanted transparency so Joe Taxpayer could see where his extorted taxes were going towards indian handouts.
How about this: if the reservation leeches want to live off taxpayer funds then no more payments until full yearly accounting audits are performed and posted publicly. If the indians don’t want that… great! We save at least $10 billion a year and the reservations won’t be much worse off. Big Chiefs Silverado Revving and Flat Screen Streaming will be hardest hit and IDGAF about them.
Or here’s an idea: for once in their lives, they can try to be productive members of society instead of eternally-whining intergenerational parasites. It would elevate their sense of collective self-worth and might even improve their standard of living.

One would think that the federal government bureaucracy will take the biggest cut, be generous and say 30%.
The various paper shufflers between the federales and the tribe will take 10%.
The tribe’s bosses will take a good chunk, be generous and say 30%.
The population of the tribe gets 30%.
Made the whole scheme up, though it may not be too far fetched.
