  1. It’s been a great training exercise for the RCMP and CFIA though. Get them used to showing up in force and killing whatever the government tells them to kill. Polarize the public against them, so they develop a stronger group identity and separate themselves further from the public. Commit morally indefensible actions to cement group loyalty through shame. Very successful. Working as intended.

    1. Precisely the psychology used for members of the Einsatzgruppen. Worked for a little while anyways – till reports filtered back to Berlin that they were drinking their faces off and having mental breakdowns.

      1. Hence the building of the concentration (death) camps to separate the killers from the killing. Still the killers, but out of sight, blocking the psychological effects.

  2. If your kids test positive for covid or are sick, they stay home a few days and then go back to school. Health Canada policy now is that they should never go back to school. CFIA is about power and control, not science.

    1. Ohhhhhhh Mommmaaaaaaa … you’re all gonna get ‘Long COVID’ … will never recover, and go on permanent government assistance. Comrade.

  3. “Government is not reason; it is not eloquence. It is force. And force, like fire, is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”―George Washington

  4. Wonder if they used the same skilled marksman from the helicopter deer cull with 30 and magazines. Same government by the way

  5. The level of cruelty is amazing, who was really threatened by those birds-big pharma or big pharma? Watching the entire thing unfold and talking with others no one can understand why they would not test the birds before they butchered them, but I think we all know why they acted like thugs with guns?

    1. The avian flu that resulted in the cull order was 11 months ago, it’s been over for a long time. They knew there was no flu in the birds, so why bother testing?

The reason to kill them is because back in December a cull was ordered by the CFIA. If they let this order not be fulfilled, it sets a precedent, and dozens, hundreds or even thousands of farmers might resist future cull orders. They cannot afford to let that happen.

  6. No mention of testing these birds to see if they have avian flu or, if not, what sort of antibodies they may have that may stem the spread of avian flu. Instead, shoot, shovel and shut up seems to be the motto of the CFIA and their RCMP enforcers. Would it not be more humane to gas the birds, or euthanize them with an injection? Guess the RCMP needs the target practice.

    1. Test run for culling of the deplorables…..

No one learns from history, In WWII, the Germans couldn’t handle the up close and personal killing, switching to gas chambers to protect the killers psyche.

      1. Hardly. The gas chambers were a question of efficiency and throughput. There was plenty of up close and personal killing just behind the eastern front. And damaged psyche.

    2. Private companies had offered to test in Canada, and US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy had offered to have American firms test.
All offers of intervention into this ultimate outcome were declined or ignored by the gov’t of canada.
I think the possibility of these birds having antibodies was the real threat, and one should keep that in mind concerning health outcomes and intervention by anyone associated with GovCan.
Note the Canadian “justice system” have appealed the sentences given to Tamara Lich and Chris Barber from the Freedom Convoy of 3 years ago.
2 days ago, a health store in BC was visited by Health Canada and their ivermectin supply seized by the gov’t. Walk up storefronts in BC will still give you fentanyl though.

The gov’t always sides with the gov’t.

      1. Kanadians are being conditioned to accept themselves as nothing more than livestock. The culling is not if but when.

  7. Anyone still confused about whether or not we live in a police state?

Backing the blue is a bad policy for self-preservation and always has been, even in societies where law and justice are ostensibly blind. They protect and serve no one but who pays their salary, and people forget that when these groups accidentally do some good. And it’s been repeatedly made clear that–not counting extremely-rare outliers–none of the state thugs is willing to challenge their orders or do the right thing.

This isn’t the last time we’ll see something like this, not by a long shot.

  8. When you go lower than Shithole you become a Hellhole.
Cops are the Canaries in the coal mine: trampling grannies with their horses, watching churches burn, breaking into houses and stealing property, performing hits on gunsmiths, telling citizens to leave their keys for the thieves, arresting citizens defending themselves in their own homes, letting terrorists clog the streets to threaten and intimidate….are all indicators of moral decay and authoritarianism.
It’s only going to get worse.

  9. Yup, quite a country. Far more outcry from the press and public when the agents of our totalitarian state interfere with the life and liberty of a flock of birds than when it persecutes peaceful protesters and arbitrarily removes the freedoms of the entire population.

You can’t fix this. It’s chronic infantilism.

  10. FILTHY LIBERALS
Fuck all the Retarded Elbows Up Assholes.

    They all love this.
They seem Psychotic in their love for death. Abortion, MAID, Ostriches.

The MP Traitor that switched to the FILTHY LIBERALS should be taken behind the Straw Bales….
Canada is doomed. Demographics are destiny…filling up our once great land with Depraved Anti Human Scum from Muslim Countries.
We whites will have some messy work to do. #NODHIMMILIFE….I can’t wait…
    FILTHY LIBERALS

  11. I like animals. But how is this different from the run of the mill culling imposed on chicken, cattle or even deers? Are people losing their shit just because these are ostritches? Go easy on the Nazi comparison, they are not rounding up jews for the death camps. Or even Japanese for the internment camps. A few years ago the government outlawed the private property of millions of Canadians (firearms) without consultation or compensation, but a few dozen ostriches is where we draw the line?

    1. It’s important and worth condemning because it illustrates the arbitrary cruelty of the government and its minions, similar to what happened to P’nut the squirrel and Fred the racoon.

The same cruelty is on display when the Crown recently decided to appeal the Tamara Lich and Chris Barber sentences.

    2. 1) There is no scientific reason for killing these ostriches. They’re immune to bird flu and are not a risk to human health or our food supply chain.
      2) This is different from other culling in that while chickens typically are slaughtered by 2 months of age, some of these birds at 40 years of age are just over half their life expectancy.
      3) This is not just about ostriches. It’s about property rights. It’s also about scaring people so that they’ll take the MRNA shot and also require it for livestock. It’s about increasing government power and control. It’s about lying to us and denying the science.

By all means, keep protesting the gun grab. Protest the wrongful prosecution of the Freedom Convoy participants. Don’t diss those who protesting wherever they can. Canadians had time to invest their lives in the World Series, but for what gain? People who see what’s happening in our beloved country should abandon pro sports and turn any casual sports conversation immediately to “What do you think of the loss of freedom in Canada? “

    3. It’s not about the ostriches. It’s about stopping the administrative branch of government from asserting its totalitarian dictatorship rule over us serfs.

  12. I felt physically ill when I heard that sick ghoul, AG Sean Fraser gleefully announce how happy he was about the Supreme Court decision & declare, the Government is just following the science, to keep us safe. This had nothing to do with science or public safety. They had to shut down the farms research into a possible cure for Avian flu and destroy all the antibodies to put a stop to the herd immunity because they are in bed with Big Pharma. But I am sure their overreach had nothing to do with the Liberals purchase of 500000 Avian flu vaccines, back in Feb.
Who’s next? Our cats and dogs? People who do not comply with the next roll out of punitive mandates, or anyone that does not subscribe to the Liberals ideology? The slaughtering of hundreds of Ostriches, terrorizing the Farmers and the occupation of personal property was not sufficient enough though, for this tyrannical government, the Liberal shills in the Supreme Court apparently have ordered the Farmers to pay the Liberal governments legal bills.

  13. suffice to say there is a great leveller, an equalizer of tremendous reach and power her name is Karma.
the details are now boring and repetative. but suffice to say a whole lot of personnel from an organization
that has been very abusive to not just me, a bunch of them wound up dead in short order.

l thus leave final resolution up to her, given she has a very free hand as to who, what and when
    the comeuppance is delivered.

  14. A couple of thoughts, not yet addressed;
    1) Ostriches are not native to N. America. Why is it (still) OK to introduce foreign species into our environment (starlings, Killer hornets, zebra mussel, Burmese python, brown marmorated stink bug, and Japanese knotweed, for examples)
    2) the farmers will be compensated…that’s your tax$$$. I’m not suggesting they shouldn’t be compensated but rather that when it comes to spending your money the Gov’t will spare no expense.
Ignorant twats ( (the bureaucrats and their mindless political minions).

    1. The compensation is $3,000 per bird or almost $1.2 million, which CRA will take back between 30 and 50 per cent in income taxes. To replace mature ostriches the price ranges between $7,500 and $10,000. This pretty much bankrupts the farmers.
Ostriches are not an invasive species that can survive north of the 49th parallel without human intervention. Also, unlike all the examples cited, ostriches are a food animal.

    2. Is any of our “local” food or drink native to North America?
Cattle (meat and milk), pigs, chickens certainly not.
Wheat, potatoes, barley (beer), sugar beets are also not native.

      I’m curious what you eat.

      1. Interesting that you mention beef and wheat. Bison (native ruminants) were almost exterminated by settlers in order to make way for cattle and grain farming.
Native Pacific salmon species have been decimated by imported salmon, carrying parasites, being raised in open pen salmon farms.
Ostriches may well be a meat source but my understanding is these specific birds weren’t being raised for harvesting, so exactly why were they being kept? I’m disgusted by the Gov’t’s action, not to mention the SCOC’s, but I’m not thrilled by these farmers importing and propagating a completely alien species either.

  15. They are never going to have to worry about doing this again. Nobody is ever going to be stupid enough to report a general illness in their flock to authorities. They will get sick, some will die, and nobody will ever know.

  16. We’ll piss and moan amongst ourselves but will anyone contact their MP? I emailed my MP a month or so back and received no response. Hmmm… Seems the MPs have next week off.
Will anyone try to find out who signed the order to kill the birds?
I wonder what the bill is for this entire mess??
