  1. Quite sophisticated, for the son of a poor, black sharecropper.
The Oligarchs that Bernie Sanders so loudly castigates always thrive.

    1. As an aside … can you get Wonder Bread at the French Laundry? ‘Buttered’ with soft-spread margarine and a side of Kraft Mac and Cheese?

      The po kids diet.

      1. Kenji,
You are on your game today, sir!
A meal at the French Laundry costs more than I was paying for rent until last month.

        1. Still a pale comparison to you, my friend. I’m gonna MAKE you give me a tour of WY some day … MAKE you teach me the finer points your open-carry State.

      1. No “laminated brioche’” for you!

What in the unholy hell is “laminated” bread? Sounds overly sturdy.

  2. I still remember driving … “illegally” … down I-5 to LA for the Thanksgiving holiday. After Newsom declared Thanksgiving family gatherings as “non-essential” and “dangerous”. My law-abiding wife was freaked out the whole time … expecting the CHP would pull us over and throw us in COVID jail … probably a rest home death camp.

All the while refusing to actually deliver the granular data of who was getting sick and where. Can’t upset certain … *ahem* … “communities”.

  3. Whenever I see Newsom, I think of this line from The Godfather:

Senator Pat Geary: “I don’t like your kind of people. I don’t like to see you come out to this clean country in your oily hair, dressed up in those silk suits, and try to pass yourselves off as decent Americans”.
