It’s Probably Nothing

Did China Down Two U.S. Navy Aircraft in South China Sea?

The incidents occurred amid President Trump’s tour of Asia, during which he is expected to meet a host of Asian leaders, including China’s leader, Xi Jinping, making it more suspicious, and embarrassing.

The South China Sea is an extremely sensitive geopolitical region, and potential flashpoint for conflict, where China asserts ownership over much of the region, despite an international court ruling rejecting Beijing’s claims.

Over the last two decades, China has bolstered its illegal claims by constructing military installations across the sea, including artificial militarized islands on reefs, challenging U.S. efforts to ensure freedom of navigation in these international waters.

The U.S. Navy’s operations in the region are part of a broader strategy to counter China’s maritime expansion and aggression.

  1. Just nuke these filthy commies already. My whole life I’ve watched my father deal with the war wounds he received courtesy of ChiCom shrapnel he got sprayed with way back in February 1951.

  2. The author mentions the possibility of a DEW or an EW attack, but did he consider the much more likely possibility of an attack of DEI?

  3. Bad fuel?
Does a “MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter and an F/A-18 Super Hornet” use the same type of fuel?

If you were using electronic or energy attacks it would make sense to attack two different aircraft.

There is not lie a Chicom won’t tell for the Chinese civilization’s world rule.

Did they take lessons from the CIA?

    2. “Does a “MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter and an F/A-18 Super Hornet” use the same type of fuel?”

Pretty much. The MH-60R uses Jet A-1 while the F-18 uses JP-5, but they are both technically jet fuel. One has a lower freezing point and the other a higher flash point.

  4. Sorry Canada … but your only line of Defense against your ChiCom overlords has just been breached. Good night and good luck … it’s every man for himself now … WOLVERINES!!!!

    1. Yes, interesting development. The cartel(s) involved (I believe Red Command cartel is the primary) have connections to Maduro/Venezuela. Lula hasn’t sent out the national guard, wonder why?
Brazil is a bit stuck; it’s very easy to see how things got the way they are, not so much how to fix it — let these goings on be a warning of potential things to come: never say it couldn’t happen to you.

Incidentally, the PSL (Party of socialism and liberation) and its offshoot the SS (Students for Socialism) also have connections to Maduro/Venezuela…they’ve been front and center in many of the protests here in the U.S. (and likely Canada).

  5. Military electronics are built to survive electromagnetic pulses; indeed so are civilian aircraft to an extent (lightning strikes) so I doubt the EM weapon stories.

  6. The obvious answer to the question of whether or not China has attacked two US military aircraft would be “No, because they’re not insane”.
