Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Guess we will see who was paying attention during those school bus fire drills.
It’s just a vehicle intended to carry little children, no worries, what could possibly go wrong? Nothing to be concerned about.
Must have been caused by right wing agitators.
Sarc
Triggered
It’s the three western provinces’ fault. They paid for the buses.
This is obviously due to global warming.
Again … just think of the transferred wealth from fossil-fueled bus fabricators to the new “green” battery bus makers and all their downstream suppliers and sycophants. A massive wealth transfer to Marxist ideologies.
The future isn’t looking too bright … unless you consider firelight to be bright
L – “ Transport Canada said that to date it was aware of three fires and one thermal incident involving LionC school buses.”
In ancient pagan times, children were sacrificed to appease the deity of weather, improve the harvest or prevent a devastating drought. In the Post-Christian West, the re- deification of nature and the self appointed High Priests and Priestesses of Gaia, have dragged us back into barbaric practices.
Could the politicians/bureaucrats responsible be charged with practicing witchcraft?
If not, why not ?
Larry, Larry, Larry … just think of ALL the children whose lives have been saved by not having to breathe diesel bus exhaust!? A recently published study modeled the results and 1 MILLION [checks notes] children’s lives will be saved per year by electric busses.
Not mentioned is that Lion Electric went bankrupt and stopped warranty service on their million $$ buses. Lots of American towns are upset. Now they only supply QC with these orange lemons. I wonder who is getting the payoffs. Either way, the QC taxpayers are getting scrod.
One could no doubt refer to this as an “Heir Fryer”.
Nice
Wait. And Air Fryers Fry without oil! Deep. Nice one.
I love how the blue bumpers make them instantly identifiable. …and the fire of course.
Quick.
Better mandate that all must drive one.
I like electric cars..think of them as mobile electric chairs.
A boon to future generations.
City governments have been overwhelmingly captured by urban ideologues – usually wealthy people living in upscale downtown neighborhoods where they can dress up in spandex uniforms and bike to work on nice mornings. These people hate cars, and would like to eliminate them altogether.
Unfortunately, they are so ideologically possessed that it would take the immolation of busload of innocents to get them to back down on these silly and expensive projects.
By the way, even if the little passengers on a bus like this were to escape the flames of a battery fire, the toxic plumes of LiOH and other compounds would cause them a lifetime of respiratory issues. Firefighters are trained to wear respirators and face shields when they respond to calls like this.
Batteries on the Bus go Spark Boom Smoke, Spark Boom Smoke…
This could have been a major tragedy.
Thank God that the children were not victims of this disgusting situation.
I am old enough to remember that the only thing that was scary on my school bus was trying to open the back hatch to throw out the guy with the stinky lunch bag….and we were kidding because the bus driver commanded our respect.
But I speak of days long gone, all gone, so long ago.
Only 1,200.
Saving the planet is dirty, dangerous work with a lot of associated emissions. Thank God for the reduction in CO2 emissions.
CBC took several paragraphs to identify the fact that the 1200 LION buses are electric. Is that an inconvenient truth for our public broadcaster, a truth that runs counter to the Corpse’s bandwagon approach to the wonders of EVs? Or just sloppy journalism? Either way, it’s not worth $1.5 billion a year.
vehicles that cant be parked inside.
vehicles that almost spontaneously ignite.
vehicle fires that are very very different
vehicles with drastically reduced range and interminable refueling times.
vehicles that are worthless soon into their life expectancy.
vehicles that are a writeoff if the power source fails
that LIEberals are MANDATING based on . . . . . . . ?
