The reason we use electric lights instead of candles is because they WORK BETTER. They were not mandated or forced upon the public by the government, nor was the sale candles banned. The statement that conservatives oppose technology is ludicrous. It would no different than saying a member of the liberal party was against computers or the internet.

  1. “Ontario has long led the way.”
    Ok, sure.
Saskatchewan has 5.65 times the number of operating nuclear power plants per capita.
    So…

    1. What the hell are you talking about? Ontario has large nuclear generating stations at Pickering, Darlington and Bruce. And we have….. ???

      1. I was looking at licensed facilities, then turned to view power produced to see where that played out.
        Yep, zilch, I was surprised.

    2. Meh, I’ll correct this, …
In terms of moving power down wire for consumers
      Ontario, 10,000 MW
      Saskatchewan, 0

  2. I have made my choice … no, not those kind of candles … but THESE kind of candles.

Yes, I am an audio tube enthusiast. Not because they are more convenient. Not because they are more modern. Not because they are cheaper. But because … to my ear … they are simply BETTER. And the BEST … if you can afford them? UK made Mullard tubes … WWII era NOS tubes when you can find them and afford them.

The best commercially available, somewhat affordable tubes available are made in Russia (oh mommmmaaaaa) – Sovtek tubes.

  3. MAY GOD HELP SASKATCHATOON.

You will think you are working for the UN. Ultrawoke FILTHY LIBERAL Marxists run these Nuke Plants.

That CREEP Maurice Strong was a CEO. He lives in China now if he isn’t dead.
They have Rainbow Crosswalks, mosque rooms, and a new T SHirt day supporting something weekly. These are Toxic bullying organizations that spend millions telling you how much they aren’t a woke, toxic, bullying organization of sociopathic Marxists. you know…FILTHY LIBERALS

You will be bankrupt hiring OPG, they never meet a deadline, and the last Point LePreau Outage was run by OPG. The OPG Outage Manager blew the budget/schedule and was fired. We are still paying for the $40Billion of OPG debt on our FORDISTAN Electric bills.

    BURN COAL….or suffer the consequences

    1. If I Had Your Money I’d Burn Mine.

FYI Strong is dead. Much cause for celebration that.

That Tesla pseudo-truck is the ugliest vehicle I have ever seen and certainly not financially practical. When measured by particulate emissions from tire wear it is certainly not beneficial to the environment, either. Not that I care how people waste their money, but I won’t be throwing any of mine out the window.

As regards candles, the outgassing from them screwed up my sinuses and respiratory system so I have none. Feeling much better now.
Oil lamps, anyway, are a better source of emergency lighting.

  4. Weird. First time ever seeing “Ontario” and “led the way” used in the same sentence.
Probably during the Davis era is my guess.

    1. Yep, triggered me.
Thought Sask had some old slow cookers up and running. D’oh!
I guess with all the transfers and “equalizations” it makes perfect sense the opportunity was never there.
