Dana DiFilippo’s bio at the Trenton-area New Jersey Monitor states that prior to writing for the paper, she was with “WHYY, Philadelphia’s NPR station, and the Philadelphia Daily News, a paper known for exposing corruption and holding public officials accountable.” She apparently deleted her X account after her largely clean but rather Orwellian choice of phrasing went viral.

The Philadelphia Daily News is a partisan rag owned by the Philadelphia Inquirer (a bigger partisan rag that sometimes makes the NY Times seem reasonable). They do NOT expose corruption. If anything, they go out of their way to omit corruption if it is someone on the left side of the aisle. If it is someone on the right side of the aisle, The Daily News has no problem embellishing or using the ole’ “anonymous sources” routine.
So, the woman in this post fits right in.
