  7. My father was a young student of photography and a student of Edwin Land. He was stationed at The Pentagon during WWII and developed aerial photography during the War. He learned much about the technical details of optics, color photography, and polarizing from “Dr.” Land. My father considered it a great honor to have directly learned from such a brilliant man. He later flew reconnaissance missions with the Air Force during Korea and Vietnam. He also documented much of the Alaska earthquake of 1964.

    1. David, a few weeks ago you mentioned swapping Roku for Bell. I took your advice and bought a unit for my father. Installation was easy as was the setup. Then I let my father configure Roku for his taste. The unit cost about $130.00 while Bell was charging me $130 per month for satellite service.

      I phoned Bell to cancel my service. They offered me a discount to stay, then a way to transfer my account over to a relative, then a smoking deal on a new cellphone plan. 40 minutes later I had cancelled my Bell service.

      Thanks! $130.00 a month was reduced to a one-time $130.00. Let the dinosaurs perish.

      1. You’re welcome. I’m planning to write a letter to BCE mentioning my cancelation of service, and that it stems from Bellmedia’s and CTV New’s left-leaning politics. In truth though, Bell service has been rotten and overpriced.

    2. If the Alberta NDP doesn’t legally exist, how do they pay their bills?

      Or even run in an election as a party?

      1. The provincial Dipper constitution pretty much says it is just a branch of the federal party. In any event, it is just a gathering of communists and degenerates.
