Good work by Andrew Scheer.
What do a caveman, Napoleon, and you in 2035 all have in common?
Not owning a car.
This is going to be a long one. So grab a drink and settle in because you won’t believe what Mark Carney is doing. pic.twitter.com/pAhAuYxPvh

So I have 10 years to acquire some more pre-electronic Mercedes and a spare engine or two.
I don’t think the problem is wholly in the governing party. The mandarin class in Ottawa needs to be purged of the control freaks.
I would question how the govt can endanger Canadians by having people freeze in their cars during snowstorms because of the theoretical danger posed by scientifically unfounded climate change while the Chinese and Indians are burning more coal every year which negates anything Canadians do to reduce CO2.
Agreed, but negates is too mild. As an analogy, it’s like a Newfie pissing in the ocean and calling his cousin in Ireland to ask if his feet got wet.
L – Drive to the voting booth and vote for Independence or walk, cycle or bus in the middle of
January every 4 years. This only to wait in line outside to vote; because only the E.V. owners will have the privilege of voting indoors. This will cool down the political climate… as the Uni-Party in Parliament debates, with much sound and fury, signifying nothing.
*(Cubans make parts for their 1950’s car by hand but in Carney’s Canada, such hand tools will be declared Restricted weapons and all power machining tools will be declared prohibited weapons. Without that Restricted weapons possession/acquisition licence. You’ll have to file your nails on cement sidewalks.)
While I agree with Andrew Scheer in his X video, part of me hopes that tier 2 Canada’s federal #Libranos hold to this plan, just to see when both sides stick to it.
Will the major auto manufacturers simply scale back their gas/diesel manufacturing to meet the EV mandate? I doubt all of Tesla’s production will gain a $20k tax credit.
That’ll go over well.
“I’m sorry, we can’t sell you a gasoline or diesel engined vehicle because your neighbors haven’t bought enough EV’s to meet the quota” …
lol… will the auto manufacturers simply scale back production? Have they bounced this idea off the auto worker’s unions yet? This is another GIFT to the President Donald Trump as production in the US of normal cars rises… How will the Canadian MSM sell this gaff?
Anything which pushes the support of AB/Sask. separation forward, I’ll support.
There’s no limit to the lunacy, bring it on, all of it.
In the final words in Andrew’s video where he’s quoting the famous C.S. Lewis poem “of all tyrannies…” regarding the “robber barons” or moral busy bodies, I now think we’re ruled by both, clearly C.S. Lewis didn’t see that one coming!
The gullibility and stupidity of the left is horrifying.
What they plan to do with cars is not going to happen. Even the dull-witted leftists will eventually reject the dire poverty being offered by they evil Liberal party of Canada.
They may never believe the truth about Carney being appointed PM to take out the middle class and further their goals of a peasant population who will be obedient. However, I believe that hunger will change minds, but by then it may be too late.
Like many other pissed off Canadians, I am planning to leave this gulag for a more civilized and affordable country. Yes, they do exist, they don’t speak a lot of English. Small price to pay for more freedom and prosperity.
.
The Liberals aren’t trying to switch all vehicle drivers to EVs. They are trying to make vehicle ownership unaffordable and unavailable to as many people as possible. They want us to be on public transit or riding bicycles. That is the purpose of ’15 minute cities’.
“A 15-minute city is an urban planning concept where most daily needs and services, such as work, shopping, education, healthcare, and leisure, can be reached within a 15-minute walk, bike ride, or public transit trip from any point in the city. ”
That might be fine in a mild climate like California. It will make life miserable in cold climates like Canada. Especially in places with long, cold winters like in Alberta or Saskatchewan. We already know how much Liberals care about Alberta and Saskatchewan.
You are right about the plan to make life unliveable outside of the cities by taking away freedom of movement, but that is only part of it.
There are only a few obstacles that stand between the globalists and total control of the people
-Freedom of movement through personal ownership of a means of transportation.
-The ability to conduct financial transactions in a manner that isn’t controlled and monitored by the government and big banks.
-personal ownership of firearms.
Take away those three things, and an individual is completely beholden to the whims of a controlling government.
This ^1000.
15min. Cities create an epidemic of mental illness, depression, and crime. Humankind were never meant to all live on top of each other … on top of millions of each other.
Let’s get down to basics here.
EVs require charging stations which require a power source of energy. That energy will not be provided by wind or solar, nor can present hydro sources provide the requirement. The power grid will reqire a massive re-structuring which must include more dams and generating stations.
EVs are heavier than ICE vehicles which means it will require further embellishments and upgrades to our highways and by-ways.
EV batteries will have to be recycled every eight to ten years, thus more costs will be incurred to deal with the residue.
I could list other factors but why waste time.
A massive shift as mandated by government bureauacracy is nothing more than a financial boondoggle that has no benefit.
But, but, but … when all the ev-driving moms queue up at Palo Alto elementary school at 2:45pm (sorry, I mean when their illegal Guatemalan Nannies queue up) … the chilllllldren … don’t have to breathe in all that poisonous tailpipe exhaust. Just IMAGINE the number of Autism cases that we eliminate!!
Because surely the burning of fossil fuels are killing the chillllldren and the most-vulnerable of our “communities” … the underserved. My children learned this from their middle school science teachers … and told me all about it when they got home.
PS … we live only blocks away from our K-8 schools … so my kids walked or biked home every day.
And, bureaucrats are never made to account for bad decisions no matter how much harm is caused. Until this changes, and it won’t because of public sector unions, things will only get worse.
Wow, what a superb job Andrew Scheer does here. Bravo Andrew!
x M prediction: Carney is now head of a government, not dreaming and scheeeeeeming behind the curtain; he’s a proud arrogant athole who will not relish going much further into Clownland. He will HAVE TO rescind this insane EV mandate just as he rescinded (paused, lol) the DST. To use a favourite ecotard word it is not politically sustainable. He will not be able to weather the finger-pointing laughter that will otherwise ensue.
2017 is calling…they want Andy so dandy back now.
Also still a cuck.
I watched the entire thing, to my surprise, even though it was Andrew Scheer presenting it.
I have to admit, he was much more likeable than I had expected. He’ll always be The Dairy Queen to me, but still…well done, Mr, Scheer. You’re not wrong.
Many of the X comments are brutal, but those are probably Liberal/EV fanboys. And speaking of that, how does the Government of Canada get away with using ‘ZEV’ in an official document?
THERE IS NO SUCH THING as a ‘zero emissions’ vehicle. That’s a flat-out LIE (and one that Scheer failed to call out, sadly). There are ‘remote’ emissions vehicles, but no ‘zero’ emissions vehicles.
Setting aside the sources of the electricity required to charge EVs (hydro, natural gas, nuclear, ‘renewable’, etc) and the relative levels of GHGs for each source, it has long been known that one will need to drive an EV between 67,000 to 151,000 kilometres before *equalling* the environmental impact of manufacturing an equivalent ICE vehicle (Scheer missed that, too).
Still…well done, Andrew. At least you’re trying to inform people.
Remote emissions … INDEED!! … thanks for pointing that out. And lots more power poles. Everything the “environmentalists” do … fkcus up the environment even WORSE.
And where is this electricity suppose to come from. It won’t be wind or solar that’s for sure. We’re going to see coal usage like we’ve never seen it before.
Well Kate … you should have bought that Mercedes esprinter van after all …

I’m sad though … because now … your dog show absences from SDA will be 3-4 times as long. 🙁
Afterthought:
Scheer says nothing about Co2 and climate change. My guess is that he believes that it’s all bullsheet.
Question for the armchair anti-PP analysts here who seem to be unaware of the exigencies of electoral politics in Canada. I’m sure Scheer believes it’s bullsheet: should he have included a little rant on the bogus theory.
The problem with today’s CPC leaders is that they all rely on their handlers at election time. The handlers have to be secret LPC moles and these “leaders” don’t seem to have enough sense to fire them. Scheer talks a great game today. If he once again became leader he will revert back to stupidity once rumours of an election come about. O’Toole and even PP did it. I would bet Leslyn Lewis would do the same. CPC just can’t seem to learn anything.
Why is Mr. Scheer telling us this? We already know. Biggest problem there is no peaceful means of getting rid of the lieberals. They cheated on at least the last 3 elections. China interference and fake votes etc. I am not opposed to electric vehicles, just let the buyer make that choice. Reality of course dictates that they are very limited to a few niche applications so buyer beware.
Look how long it took Canadians to get pissed off by the carbon dioxide tax.
Years.
A lot of Canadians don’t deserve the freedom to choose what type of car they own.
And a pantload of Canadians will arrogantly declare that it should be the government’s decision.
Shithole.
But, but, but, this is the Country where the leader of the Conservative opposition ordered all his sheep to support turdo la doo on the Paris Climate Accord! Remember?
Who was that again?

What a righteous reminder that we have a nice and safe uniparty.
PP, Andy, and every trained seal barked “yea”
Thanks, Jamie.
Wow! 1- NO vote? Out of your ENTIRE Parliament ? That’s shameful. Utterly disgusting.
How did CHERYL GALLANT find the fortitude to call BULLSHIT on the Paris global warming nonsense? Let me guess … she’s no longer an MP?
Still an MP.
