Toronto Star- Alberta’s auditor general granted extra $1M for health procurement probe
Alberta’s auditor general has been granted his request for nearly $1 million in extra funding to continue digging into allegations of corruption in private health-care contracts. Auditor general Doug Wylie says the investigation has demanded his office hire additional help.

How do you distinguish between the standard obscenely overpriced health care contract from the corrupt obscenely overpriced health care contract. Forty years ago I noted a $1,000 toaster bought by a hospital and questioned it. No problem it was $1,000 toaster. Back in the day my wife supervised government construction contracts. Her favourite was $15,000 for an 8 foot wall with a single plug.
Each year, approximately $3.5 billion are spent on contracted goods and services by Alberta Health Services (AHS) through the Contracting, Procurement, Supply Management (CPSM) department, to support the delivery of health care in this province.

Ok $3.5 Billion. That’s going to drag some of the usual suspects out for a taste.
Suggestion: Take a very close look at who is supporting this additional funding. And, who is totally against the appropriation. The latter group is getting a piece.
An extra $1 million? In terms of healthcare management positions, that’s about 3 people with individual offices and funded pension amounts included.
Probably worth it.
Anything done in a hospital costs more because:
1. doctors
2. administration
3. unions
4. technical oversight
5. consultants
6. 1-5 idiot premium
7. after hours work/weekend work/holiday work
8. unexpected unknowns
9. known knowns
As No Kidding says..By the time you get past administration,health safety and the union,you nolonger can afford to carry out the work.
For which you may get paid some 90 days and counting..
With constant questioning of “The scope of work” in hindsight of course.
So repeat contractors bill accordingly.
The old rule was X3,now it is Plan to work at night,after the admin nitwits have gone home.
Ward heelers are the finest planners the union can buy..
They MUST Have an issue in a patient room addressed (Or it will be the end of the world).
So you agree that as soon as room is empty,you will proceed.
They inform you; Room is ready..
You arrive to find?
A longterm patient,with an empty room either side..
Impossible to parody.
Government run healthcare works just like everything else government does.
Time ,your time ,has zero value to these “helpers’.
Neither does your health or your life.
MAID?

30 000 dead from medical “mistakes” per year.
But they are so proud of the fact they can offer Death instead of Care.
Another tell,that “They are from the government and they are here to help you”.
Death is easy,it comes for us all.
Living longer?
That was the tough part..
Public Heath’s answer?
“The bureaucrat will kill you now”.
So the Alberta Provincial Healthcare does not need more auditors,they need to fire an enormous number of “Helpers” and liberate their medical staff from this state of thuggery.
Murder by Medical Minions..
This is not a slippery slope,this is genocide.(State butchery of the citizens)
