I`ll give Trump the benefit of the doubt on this one. He was put into a tough corner and I think he came up with a solution that was quick and decisive and can appease the U.S.`s obligations as Israel`s ally and deal with prevailing sentiment at home. I don`t think Trump is looking for a forever war in Iran.

I know one libertarian who disagrees with 90 percent of Trump’s decisions on procedural grounds, but understands his tactical knowledge in the other 10 percent.

Libertarians and conservatives share the notion of natural rights and limited government, but the former abhors, pathologically sometimes as Hayek argues, any state intervention, whether it be commerce or war.
Pragmatic people understand there’s a time and a place for everything, but not just on a whim as we too often see in statist society, pretending every intervention is a justified abrogation of human rights and sovereignty.
Realistic people OTOH recognize Trump will win back most lost support should this mission ultimately succeed.
Furthermore, given the hysterics from the DeMarxists and their fascist friends, once again screaming for Trump’s impeachment and removal, they will be on the wrong side of yet another issue, as the rest of the world recognizes America now rides the strong horse with proven superior military capability, along with Israel.

You should find it highly instructive that my hardcore INSANELY leftist friends here in the Bay Area … accept me … because they believe (choose to believe) that I am a Libertarian. Why? The NY Times claims the decoy flight to Guam was really for Trump’s consumption because the real leaders of the US were concerned Trump would leak the planned attack details. “The Newspaper of Record” is fuming that their inplace leakers in Defense Dept, Pentagon, State Dept and West Wing were not in the loop or were fired and they, NYT, couldn’t warn Iran.
