I know for a fact a local Rabbi in Winnipeg got huge amounts of government money to do “education” about the pandemic, the importance of being vaccinated, masked, following lock down rules and so forth. The leadership of every religious community was offered huge sums of money to comply and encourage their followers to comply with public health. Very few protested.
