Speaking as a MAJOR fan of the EPL … and fan of the English men’s National Football Team … way to go boys! The team played for shit. The coach is shit. And the PM is a c()nt. The fans cannot be fooled.
Soccer(Football) is the beautiful game, and

Watching Wrexham (and Ted Lasso did get it right) got me to appreciate the sincerity/honesty/vulgarity of English football fans.

English football fans make my Oakland Raiders/A’s devotion look like casual dating. My daughter honeymooned in England and visited multiple BIG teams stadiums/matches – Man U, Arsenal … but on a lark they took in a match at Burnley … stopped into a pub before the match and were literally ADOPTED by the delightful Burnley fans. The absolute nicest people to some random American tourists. I love me some English football fans. Not a shed of guile … and the songs are epic!! And can be quite nasty.
The thing that Ted Lasso absolutely NAILED is their depiction of the “past it” egotistical, Eastern European, former star. OMG … every English fan can put quite a few names to THAT character amalgam.
