It’s not surprising that Quebecers want lower gas prices too. What is also not surprising is this bizarre statement from Francois Legault on the subject of pipelines. It is safe to assume that in a more “dogmatic” world, Quebec would be okay with losing money? Why would a culture think that way in the first place?
“We’re not dogmatic. We’re OK with Quebec making money,” he said. “The world has changed.”
“Published Tuesday, the Léger survey also found that a majority of Quebecers support building a pipeline across the province to transport oil or gas from Western Canada to international markets.”
But as in all other provinces in Canada, it is special interest groups funded by ??? that will fight any project that attempts to do so. I just put ??? in there because the list of usual suspect is just tiresome to list and led by the Liberal government.
Quebekki jumped to the front of the line when the feds started talking about carbon pricing. They entered into some cap and trade climate scam with California. They weren’t having anything to do with anything Canadian. No sir. I’m not suggesting something untoward happened with their cap and trade deal but hey, it’s quebek?? The federal government of course provided a carve for quebekki when they slapped the rest of the provinces with the carbon tax.
Now the shoe is on the other foot. Fwenchy is slipping over the border to buy gas since his own gas is over priced. He want’s the Canadian price. He’s showing his true patriot love… he wants a pipeline…
I don’t care what they think. Most of them are parasites. Namely the French. The Anglos are okay.
Legault said the province could support an oil or gas pipeline if there are benefits for Quebecers, but said he would invest no public money in such a project.

I get to wondering what is truth, and what is Newspeak. I don’t believe public sentiment in Quebec or any other province switched opinions 180 degrees. It seems like government decides it has an agenda, and is then supported by legacy media, backed by polling funded by legacy media. The missing link is that legacy media is all funded by government.
