Yeah, if someone is telling you exactly what you want to hear then it’s time to be cautious because it might be a trap. As shown by button-gate, the Liberals have no objection about using dirty, even possibly illegal, tricks to try to set up the Conservatives.
CSIS and the RCMP have been a weapon controlled by the Liberal Party against Canadians and Conservatives for at least a decade. A letter coming from either one of these organizations, current or retired, that attacks top Liberal MPs should be viewed as suspicious until thoroughly vetted by independent sources.
While that’s true in general, the leaks by CSIS about the CCP-controlled MPs strongly indicate that they’ve broken ranks with the LPC.
Yes, there are clearly substantial elements of the party that are not on side with the Chinese satrapists. To some extent it’s loyalty to Quebec or even to Canada in preference to China, that motivates them; to some extent it’s insider grudge, and in the Globe’s case it looks like Carney has riled Robert Fife something fierce. Bur I’ve never seen anything like it.

Yes, you do indeed seem to suffer from Chinese installed government. But it’s been a bit more wide ranging and longstanding than many would like to countenance.
I would suggest a look into the Canada-China FIPPA treaty (signed in Vladivostok no less! how symbolic!) and the votes during the push back to not ratify it (I’m afraid your conservative and liberal leaders should probably do some explaining, but likely they won’t — oh Stephen, oh Maxime, oh Pierre, oh Canada!). I believe that treaty lasts for another 20 years.

The narrative is that the LPC is China’s buddy, and that the CPC isn’t. Canadians have no interest in things that don’t agree with their narratives, and as such, we have narrative-driven politics. Unlike Americans, we don’t trust our lying eyes, and always seek to get our opinions from approved sources. This is as true for what passes for “conservatives” as liberal up here.
