Telegraph- I want to discriminate against white candidates, says police chief
A whistleblower has claimed that black and far-east Asian candidates were considered particularly under-represented and given a gold ranking, followed by those of south-east Asian origin who were in the silver tier. “White others”, including candidates from Irish and eastern European backgrounds, were bronze.
Its not even a open secret.. Its on billboards by the roadside.. Oh, how pious they are.. This situation comes up a lot in open conversations these days.. People are getting fed up..
So EXACTLY what Adam Corolla explained happened to his own application for Firefighter … in CA … buried in the file for years whilst the black and lesbian applicants moved to the front of the line
“Positive discrimination, which has historically been popular in the US, is when a minority candidate is given preferential treatment when applying for a job rather than being judged on merit. This can range all the way to only allowing candidates from a particular minority group to apply for a role.”
Not sure what kind of crack the reporter is smoking, but “positive discrimination” aka “racism with different racists in charge” has never been “popular” in the US, in addition to being illegal.
Additionally, the Chief Constable, if he is so interested in increasing diversity, should take his pale white ass and resign so the position can filled with someone better.
This happened to me and thousands of others in Bob Rae’s Ontario in the early 90’s.
White men need not apply.
I had to move to Calgary to find a meritocracy and get a job as a police officer.
