Ha! I have a close friend who is quite far left \ progressive.
Also medicated up the wazoo.
She tried to encourage me to see her psychologist who doses her up with medication.
When I asked her why the h&ll I would ever need that, she sputtered something about racism… and me not having the correct views.

Robert. My ONE certifiably unhinged leftist sister in law blew-up her side of the families attendance at our annual family Thanksgiving last November. Took out her three girls and five grandchildren. My own grandkids didn’t get to see and play with their cousins last Thanksgiving. Why ? Because she couldn’t bear to face me, and several other family members who she knows voted for Trump.
Yes, the grandkids (all under age 10) were kept from one another because of one woman’s political and emotional pathologies.
That’s the sad part is the kids suffer.
However….
The flip side I can’t ‘discuss’ climate change with my grandson, he is totally programmed from school. No respect, will tell me in uncertain terms I’m wrong and old.
No wonder kids are so screwed up today.
A very large number of the problems the world faces today are a direct result of teachers and professors teaching their personal opinions instead of facts. That should be cause for them to lose their teaching license.
Yup, I have extended family members who are totally CB/CTV junkies and don’t even bother try countering their view with a fact.

I posted this about my experience in small-town Saskatchewan. It’s shocking to me how fervently Canadians, in a small town in a region that’s supposed to be all-in on western separatism, can be so devoted to TDS:
You know what’s even more pathetic? I live in a small town – maybe 350 people – in kinda rural Saskatchewan. That alone is pretty sad, but bear with me. There are people here – all women – who cannot get through any conversation without blaatting out something about Trump. Passing on the street walking dogs? “Trump is cancelling women’s health.” Buying groceries at the Co-op? “Look at the cost of these eggs! Trump!” (Yes, Canadians have latched on to the Trump-eggs thing and believe that he sets the price of eggs in rural Saskatchewan.) And all this has gotten worse with the tariff stuff. And if you do not immediately agree – instantly, on the spot – you get the equivalent of an all-caps-no-spaces-no-punctuation shrill shrieking.
This is profound, deep, wide-spread and wide-ranging mental illness.
I agree 100%. It’s ok to dislike Donald Trump but the depth of TDS in Canada is really extreme. The way many people are acting they would sacrifice our whole country’s well-being on their altar of hatred for Trump. I completely agree with your statement about it being a mental illness.

I don’t argue, especially online, because I literally don’t care about someone’s opinion.
I am OK if they all have a heightened sense of anti trumpness, but it’s the self assured smug arrogance with which they deliver it that bugs me.
Yes,totally unhinged. But they told me Kameltoe was sure to win. Everyone associated with Trump or voted for him is Hitler, excrement ect. They can parrot the msm word for word about Trump, but you are only listening to Fox news. Elon is the devil for ending censorship on X. It is totally pervasive in the area I live.I am good with standing alone.
