But Alberta hasn’t yet even mustered the political will to break away from CPP or RCMP or anything like that, so it seems they may have to subject themselves to another decade or more of abuse before they genuinely understand, before the legitimate complaints of the minority start to spread into the broader body politic.

            Think about it, the Liberal strategists know that the blogs, X/Twitter etc., where Things Are Happening these days, so it makes perfect sense to sic some trolls and bots on these sites to sow discord and defeatism and to induce and cultivate sad sack-ism and Debbie Downer-ism among the conservative faithful, hoping they will spread the malaise, or to suggest that say, the legitimate complaints of the majority are, in fact, the complaints of a fringe minority, etc., etc. It would be one of the cheapest media strategies ever and you could probably get a couple of woke college kids to do it for a cuppa Starbucks.

            I swear that a similar strategy is already used by activist and other “community spokesperson” groups on Reddit. As witness, whenever a certain crime (pick one) that the public suspects is almost invariably committed by a certain community (again, pick one) goes down, one almost immediately sees numerous Reddit posts suggesting that, in fact, what 99% of the population is suspecting, just might not be the case and then the poster attempts to steer the topic of the subreddit off on some tangent elsewhere. Am I the only one that suspects such an organized effort is being undetaken? (perhaps these Reddit users have even received a government grant of type mentioned herein to run such a program)

          4. r/Canada has become a Carney lovefest / CPC bashfest forum, though to be fair it’s generally always been a CPC bashfest. It was only during the past year or so prior to Trump’s inauguration that the general detest for Trudeau turned it into what you might call neutral ground with a fair bit of aggressive criticism of LPC.

            It felt like the moment Trump got inaugurated, r/Canada swung hard into “Never PP! He’s pro Trump and pro MAGA and we all hate that!” mode and it’s been utterly insufferable since. The LPC’s sins have been flushed down the memory hole as if they never existed and/or no longer matter.

    The programs listed above total about $4 million. Assume that the targeted population is 1% of the population of roughly 40 million. This is 400,000 potential votes. These are extremely focused, highly effective activists – perhaps 75%, or 300,000 of them would vote. The left leaning press amplifies the message and makes sure they are informed.
    So, for $4 million they can buy 300,000 votes. That’s 13 bucks a pop.
    Pretty cheap!
