I hope the Conservative Party of Canada is taking notes. I would wager we have the same nonsensical grants and contracts, although to a lesser extent, right here.
I’m sure there are a bunch of citizen journalists and independent journalists that have lots of examples.
Real Andy Lee is one example.
Blacklock’s Reporter team is another.
Sam Cooper? Possibly, I admit I’ve not seen enough of his stuff.
I suspect all of the above have receipts, and not just anecdotes.

I presume a significant number of these contracts and such were already part of the public record. The jist of the matter is that an effective opposition party or independent press would bring malfeasance to light. We better understand why this hasn’t been occurring.
It takes a village…actually a mid-size city, to generate waste of this magnitude.
Maybe Musk could bring his boys up to Ottawa for a few days. That sewer needs a real reaming out.

To me the most perplexing of Trump’s recent musings is his proposal of a “national religion”. Chuck Swindoll has some rather controversial but fascinating insights into the 3 Abrahamic religions which prevail in most Western civilizations. Likely somewhat disturbing to many; but a startling revelation to others. Fair warning – Runs ~2 hours.

I’m reminded of the scene in Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the one with Sutherland and Nimoy, where ships are on the docks loading pallets of pods. USAID, UNRWA and the other NGO’s were just shipping Communism around the world.
