Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Here is ten dollars…..syke!!!!
Its 7 dollars lol
The rationale here is probably that since small businesses got to deduct the carbon tax they paid, both indirectly and directly, then this rebate is really a reduction of expenses and so is taxable.
What a racket!
“One for you and one for me.
One for you and two for me.
One for you and three for me
One for you and …”
that’s one for you nineteen for me George Harrison circa 1966
Caltoo, you’ve hit on Canada’s new National Anthem, Taxman!

Harrisson was wondering where all the money was. So he talked to their accountant. One for you an 19 for me was technically accurate.
Meanwhile … here in the States … Trump has already signed an EO that restored my (retired teacher) wife’s FULL Social Security payment. Former Law cut her SS benefit in half because she collects a teachers pension.
and …
Trump has promised to eliminate all Federal Taxes on BOTH our Social Security incomes.
Shall I recount how much I LOVE President Donald J Trump?
The rebate was itemized over 3 years. I wonder if required to refile each of those 3 years. It will be easier to return the so-called rebate.
Bananada ripens.
Well you also pay HST on the Carbon Tax if my propane bill is any indication.
Tax on my propane fill up was ~$750.
Just sit there and contemplate that for a second. Tax, on heating, in Canada where you die if you don’t have heating, $750.
Used to be the whole heating bill for the winter was $750. Remember that?
Tax ,on tax ,on tax..because “We are Canadian”.
Public education has been a smashing success.
The “well educated Canadian is arrogant, ignorant and unable to process basic mathematics.
Canadian A.I. in its glory.
That damn near 40% of working Canadians are on the public payroll, makes Canadians happy.
The maths are impossible.
6 cannot pay the 4 to live large at the others expense.
But Canadians just nod and borrow against future children’s futures.
And here we are Broke,Bankrupt and defenceless.
Government is waste and destruction.
The totally blind demanding that the sighted obey.
Over 6 decades of robbing the productive to reward the thieves..End Stage Kleptocracy.
Enjoy.
Same thing if you’re a Co-Op member. Those end of the year rebates? You get taxed on them. That’s why I don’t have a membership. I’d rather the money went to them than the f’ing Feds.
Pretty soon they’ll be taxing the air I breathe. Oh, wait…
In Manitoba it says right in the documents they send you with your T4 that this is not taxable if for personal use.
CFIB is a useless bunch of turds who puts out a survey once a month, and then gets themselves a headline saying this or that, is bad, then cashes the checks they get and spend it on themselves in Bermuda. They do nothing more but service themselves.
p.s. sole proprietorship businesses got absolutely no rebates, only corporations.
