    1. Don’t they usually try for large aircraft full of fuel for long flights?

… if your gonna turn a plane into a missle, choose something bigger than a learjet or regional airliner

    2. “Aloha snackbar! (?)

I think I’ll wait 72 hours on this one.”

Good idea. If I were a betting man I’d probably put my money on the cartels, but who knows?…it could be as simple as mechanical failure.

      1. Yeah… I regret my earlier speculation about the mid-air collision being deliberate on the part of the helicopter pilot(s), but at least I tried to keep an open mind from the beginning on the matter. Still, there are questions as to why the helicopter was flying 200 feet above it’s supposed ceiling, but I’ll wait for the investigators to finish their job.

Videos I’ve seen on the plane crash in Philly were bizarre. That plane didn’t just fall out of the sky. It practically flew to the ground at top speed coming in hot like a missile. That has to be one whopper of a mechanical failure, or did something happen to the pilot?

It’ll be interesting to see the final report on this one.

  1. Nothing about “cute winter boots” was there? Hopefully it had just dropped off its passenger and was not picking one up. Those small aircraft do have a weight and balance issue, for instance if that 500 lb rapper that couldn’t get into the Lyft ride, ran to the front of the aircraft, you would have a problem. The way it went straight into the ground looks more like the pilot died/passed out at the controls. This might not be the time to ask what their company policy on pilot vaxxination was and did the Mexican FAA also relax the medical guidelines for pilots.

  2. To my untrained eye it appears as though the aircraft had broken up prior to hitting the ground. It kind of looked like the space shuttle that burned up on re-entry. Glowing debris flying in close formation. Reports are that there is a large debris field which doesn’t seem likely if the small jet had simply nosed into the ground. Was the aircraft carrying explosive material? Was there some sort of intended destruction? Was the aircraft shot out of the sky by an errant missile? Inquiring minds want to know.

      1. You may be well be right. Someone else on another blog suggested it may be the handiwork of the Mexican cartels. I have no idea and will have to wait like everyone else.

  3. Looked every bit like a Kamikaze attack … only faster!

But, I too, will wait for more details

  4. Apparently it damaged a gas line. Gas was shut off quickly so no danger of explosion. It was burning hot enough to be felt a few block away.

  5. If it was an Air Ambulance, there is usually a large quantity of medical oxygen on board.

*AME that has worked in the Air Ambulance industry.

  6. The way the plane power dived into the ground at a 45° angle suggest the pilots were leaning over the yolk.
Me thinks that an oxygen container exploded inside the jet, forward blast knocking the pilots out over top of the controls hence the power dive

  7. Medical oxygen related fire could have turned the interior of the plane into an inferno.

That plane rocketed into the ground.

    1. That’s what I’m guessing. Oxygen fire is an explosion that would break up the fuselage.

  8. My wife was airlifted from Cancún to Canada on that exact plane back during Covid. (Same tail number) Top notch crew consisting of two pilots, one flight doctor and one flight paramedic. Mexican company but mostly based in Miami. Thoughts go out to the crew and their families.
