Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
“4. Net Zero policies are easy; it’s the physics that aren’t”
Of course, because politicians are not constrained by the laws of physics. And Net Zero generating fantasies of politicians will eventually lead to Net Zero Growth.
“5. Fuel is fuel”
the misnamed “Renewables” are awesome as a grift, but useless for baseload, increasing the number of peaker plants required to make up for when they aren’t generating. Of the two, solar is slightly less annoying because you can plan around when the sun is up.
Indeed. From the perspective of the utility company it doesn’t matter what fuel the generators are using since they are just distributing, but it’s kind of disingenuous to say just take it up with your politicians regarding the building costs of wind and solar. Kind of annoying to read that.
As I have said many times, you cannot build any electrical generating equipment without coal, oil and gas. The foolishness that we allow and believe will kill us .
In the Dem/Lib/NDP world the only people allowed to make profits are lawyers and politicians.
Amazing how Nancy Pelosi amassed a plus $100 million fortune, on a salary of what $180k per year?
