Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Jagmeet became an MP in a byelection held on February 25, 2019, almost six years ago.
That fact is, I think, quite relevant here.
KM
It would be hilarious if instead of resigning, El Turd called an election for Monday Feb 24, 2025.
This might wreck Jagmeet’s pension, and would stop Freeland from becoming PM.
Heck, even funnier if Trudeau didn’t sign Freeland’s nomination papers.
It would be hilarious, but sadly is unlikely.
My guess is that Freeland won’t run again. She has her pension and — like most Liberals — she could well lose the election.
Might be wrong.
All of them are in it for themselves, no matter the colour. Always have, always will.
Oh yes she will run again! She got a standing ovation when she arrived at the Liberal Christmas party. She’s thinking she will be the next Liberal leader, maybe even Prime Minister.
Election called must be between 37 and 51 days from the date of the call. He’s got time.
Gee Captain Obvious, when did you realize that?
I don’t often swear on posts but Jagmeet Singh is a self-serving asshole politician. He not only waited until the parliamentary session went on winter break so he will qualify for his pension in Feb., he also waited until Liberal MPs already all but guaranteed that Trudeau is finished.
Does he think he’ll be seen as some kind of brave hero? The abuse of Canadians by the most corrupt and incompetent government in Canadian history would have ended months, or even years ago, if he had an ounce of integrity. Singh has no honor and nether do any of his NDP MPs for alowing Singh to hold Canadians hostage to the destructive, unethical Trudeau Liberal government.
What’s the Singh NDP new election slogan – we helped wreck Canada, and all you got is free contraception pills?
The NDP has lost the working class and now exists as a white collar unionized public employee’s rump party with room for greens who want to be closer to power than their own lunatic MPs.
Not so much lost the working class as dropped them. They were scuffing up Singh’s Maserati.
You should swear more often, LCB, you have a knack.
I’ll believe it when I actually see it happening.

Jagmeet is a buffoon
I posted this on Blazing Cat Fur and I think it might gain some traction here. Mr. Singh is like most socialist politicians, in the game under false pretences. He’ll extend the Trudeau governments time in office to benefit himself. The next session is already two years too late!
Mr. Singh, it is not up to Trudeau to resign, clearly the boy has no ethical principles, on the other hand, you Mr. Singh, with your high moral and ethical standards and your position over the last two years, it is your duty to all Canadians that voted for you as a champion of the working class, it is up to you to fire the incompetent buffoon that has brought ruin and destruction to this nation. Do the right thing Mr. Singh and fire Trudeau otherwise your only alternative is to resign yourself, before you are able to claim a political gold-plated pension.
Careful … otherwise Lame Canada Goose Trudeau will start behaving like Lame Duck Biden … and burn the place down before finally getting booted from office. Like cancelling more student debt and releasing criminals from prison … or throwing the border even wider-open.
Not going to be much left to burn unless these idiots are turfed and soon.
The “working class” have been abandoning left wing political parties for the last 10 years and slowly embracing the conservatives, especially young voters. The NDP are likely to get many former liberals in the next election as anything connected to Trudeau will be toxic. Singh could even be re-elected, although I hope I’m wrong. The NDP will always have the “what’s in it for me” crowd, i.e. public “service” union workers, welfare kings and queens, teachers and the like. The liberals deserve to lose party status given the drunken orgy they’ve foisted upon the country for the last 9 years. Reckless spending, assinine DEI / SJW policy, scandal and corruption, let’s hope the adults show up for the next election, whenever it may be.
Predicting a Perogy Parliament: Justin will prorogue and drag it out till next fall.
After all his best interest is our best interest.
Just ask him!
Unless someone takes a pop at him between now and then.
He can theoretically prorogue Parliament until the fall.
But the government runs out of money at the end of the fiscal year, which is March 31,2025.
See

Hell, the government ran out of money a long time ago…
Just in time for the Christmas recess.
They don’t even try to hide their cynical contempt for we the people.
This fascist fool, if he does as “promised,” not including “hypotheticals,” look for Boy Blunder to prorogue Parliament, then resign as PM to facilitate a leadership contest. Don’t count on Liberals voting non-confidence, they will do anything to keep their perks and power and know this an election not of distinction but of extinction. They and the NDP are heading for an irreversible and epic butt kicking because their collectivist chicanery has destroyed our public finances, with progressive help elsewhere, citizens now paying the price, literally, of irresponsible government. Then Singh can put his tail between his legs, jump in his Marxist Maserati, and say he tried.
The NDP brass know how stupid their supporters are.
It occured to me that Freeland is a voice of reason when comes to deficit spending, 9 years late. Doesn’t say much about the Libs.
Just like at Reuters, she leaves about 6 minutes before TSHTF.
Deport the bastard.
L – A supporting member of the “hole in the treasury gang”, after securing his cut of the loot,
pretends to go straight. This just before firing up his get away Maserati, and heading to his
utopian country of Khalistan, carved out of the political wilderness of Western Canada.
I saw a YT video where the guy explained that unless the governments 6 week Christmas break is cut short, Jughead will qualify for his pension no matter what. Time in office still counts between calling an election and the public votes. By law you can’t hold the election any earlier than 36 days (if I remember that number right) after calling for an election/government loses confidence. So we’re paying that loser, Jagmeet, for the rest of his life.
I will drink a toast to Jagmeet at Nakatomi Plaza next week. And my condolences on his being passed over for a cabinet post in the Trudeau government’s latest shuffle.
In an interview former Illinois governor, and now-free jailbird Blagojevich, spoke about the cynicism of politicians; how they actually take pride in their hypocrisy and their psycopathic behaviour; how behind closed doors they share hearty laughs about what they’ve pulled off on their sucker-constituents.
Kate: Missed it by that much … killed me.
Somebody can check this to see if this is accurate, but I read somewhere that the clock doesn’t stop until Meathead actually loses his seat in an election.
If that’s true, then the Singe can still get his pension. The first sitting of Parliament is slated for late January. Typical elections in Canada run 5 weeks, which means that the Singe could be voted out as late as the first week of March.
If the Turd prorogues Parliament, or there is any delay in the time line, then presuming all of the above, the Singe can still get his pension.
I am just back from my weekly grocery shop and was waiting in line when a woman in her mid-30’s started chatting to me – it was her day off, running errands. Nice woman, ended up talking politics as it started with “what are you doing for Christmas” and I replied that I would be having a quiet Christmas as my lovely sister died suddenly in March and my daughter lives in Montreal, other relatives in Ottawa. Then talked about estates (she does NOT have a will – which I encouraged her to write). I told her that I am expecting to pay close to $ 400,000 in estate taxes to the idiot government in Ottawa. She was shocked – then we started talking politics. She did not have “clue in a handbag” about Chrystia Freedland’s resignation from Cabinet, did not know about the 52% overage on the budget deficit, in fact did not know anything.
Everyone on this blog is very interested in politics, but I think most Canadians are completely unaware of the financial trouble which Canada is in.
Big Momma
Unlike the US, Canada doesn’t have estate taxes. However, capital gains tax must be paid on the assets the deceased owned. Is that what you are referring to?
We have probate taxes, deemed disposition, deemed withdrawl, and all sorts of way the government taxes you for dying, but don’t call it “estate tax” or “inheritance tax” because the government doesn’t want you to think they are taking extra.
JD
I always thought “estate tax” was where the government taxed estate transfers after all other taxes (i.e. capital gains etc) had been paid.
If I cash out my investments while I am alive, I have to pay capital gains taxes. Same as if my estate cashes them out when I’m dead.
The average Canadian is either an idiot or simply chilling on Net Flix.
Ohhhh Mommmaaaa … you also just described the vast majority of Americans who also know NONE of these things … but can name at least the the 10 “most important” TikTok and Instagram “Influencers”
Increasingly smaller numbers of truly educated people are being controlled by a majority of low-information … nay, NO-information voters.
Maybe in the next sitting. Maybe not. Certainly not before February 26, 2025. That $48K pension ought to cover the Maserati lease.
8 Lieberals promoted from backbenches to cabinet. Now that they are getting Minister’s pay, they’ll also be able to get an ex-Minister’s pension.
Two strangers start chatting in an airport while waiting for a plane. Go thru sports weather ect and finally get around to what each other does for work
Stranger 1 – I’m and electrician, what do you do?
Stranger 2 – I’m the Leader of the Federal NDP Political Party. Please don’t tell my mother though, she thinks I’m a
piano player in a whorehouse.
It’s clear to me this is all theatre, just like the sudden fallout between Trudeau and Freeland.
Justin must have told him there’s a prorogue coming. No way Jughead suddenly changed his mind.
Hey – remember when the Liberals were against omnibus bills and prorogies?
What I find really depressing, is the knowing that we will have to pay for, the Maggot, Jimmy Dhaliwal’s monthly lifelong pension check.
I’m not holding my breath.
Starting to become more apparent as each week passes, that Justin is indeed wittingly or unwittingly ( and it doesn’t really matter which) working on behalf of the Patriots and perhaps has been for quite some time. The public shaming most likely hit its peak when Justin flew down to see Trump and may have ended with Trumps latest Truth about Freeland. His imminent resignation may be a sign that his handlers are finished with him and his services are no longer required. Notice how seemingly happy Joe Biden and family have been lately when around Trump, probably not a coincidence. I heard this theory several years ago, was hard to believe then, but not too difficult to accept now. The term ” The Patriots’ are in Control” seems quite plausible at this point in time. Just one mans observation.
are patriots the same as “red sea pedestrians”
The election could be called day of return from Christmas break jan27, and he is still safe as you remain on the payroll until the mp is defeated in a election, which is min 36days.
It should be illegal to obstruct parliamentary process in order to qualify for a pension.
